Is there any hacky widget for android somewhere that can keep bt active and connected with smart shunt? Displaying percentages and whatnot as a widget?

Its tedious when victronconnect have to reconnect everytime you switch apps/minimize/tab out. Especially when it fails to reconnect. Im sure many of you know exactly what i mean :p

It is annoying.
I usually just open the app to the device list, without connecting.
If I plan on switching between different apps. Screenshot_20240629_082228.jpg
This gives me the basic information, without the headache.

Look into Victron VRM. If you know anything about computers its worth putting Venus OS on a raspberry Pi and have remote access and fancy graphs stored on the cloud for free and next to zero load times. ANYWHERE

Its so beautiful I feel the sniffles coming on.

I use a raspberry pie for 2 smart shunts. I love it sooo much!!

If you got money to burn and like easy, look into a Victron Cerbo Gx.

Thare is small model.
Victron Cerbo-S GX
Its mis this parts for monitoring

The Cerbo-S GX does not have:

Tank entrances

Temperature inputs

BMS-Can port

Price in Europe (eu price are always with tax .) 280 euro .
Well we do have sometimes discount for 210 euro.

I actually rarely look directly at the shunts. They are the only Victron equipment in my system.
They are connected to Solar Assistant, so I view their information there.

Yeah this is the best solution, SS + BT sucks - connection can be so temperamental. Its deliberately crippled by the ever arrogant V. You should be able to connect via usb lead to a pc but V wont let you. Bstds. I can keep my Victron IP65 charger running long time ok.
V doesnt have a reliable Coulomb meter to use with Lifepo to make a fuel gauge for mobile apps golf carts EVs etc. You can sort of fudge the display but IMHO SS has been deprecated for some time and is rooted in its AGM past. V's days are numbered as the market is offering gear (eg inverters ) at 1/3rd of the price and you are not locked into a proprietary network as with V - I hate that cheap trick.

Thanks for the replies. I'm well aware of venus os and rasperry pie but i feel like I really shouldn't need a middle man full fledge computer just to route simple data traffic.

I do use a raspberry pie but with solar assistOS connected to my AiO SRNE-like inverter and to my smartshunt via VE direct tho. The ve cable was a necessity for solar assist to be able to get data from SS. :/
