I finally decided to try my hand at building some batteries. While they were on that sslooow boat I ordered a ZKE EBC-A40L to test the cells when they arrived. They finally got to my doorstep and the ones I have tested so far are remarkably identical. This is the measurements so far:

HOWEVER…I have questions about the curves. This is typical of the first few:

Then I have had 3 that look like this:

I am confused because it appears that it only drew 40A for about 2 hours 15 minutes and then dwindled to zero amps yet it claims to have pulled 332.6Ah. The data is also contradictory in that it shows it pulling 40A for the whole time.

Can someone Please clarify this for me, my brain hurts from spinning in circles!

Do I have some bad cells?

Am I doing something wrong?

Any assistance will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Thanks

@offgrid-curious Yes...I caught that after I edited my post to actually show the files. (shouldn't be posting at 3am maybe). I went back and checked the other 2 similar tests and they are also missing data. I now suspect a heat problem with the tester. We were experiencing high temps and our central air decided to go on vacation. I has now cooled a bit and the air is supposed to be fixed today so I will retest in the cooler environment and re-post. Thanks

@offgrid-curious, @upnorthandpersonal ..... the problem has been identified and corrected (Illiterate operator). The manual I received with my tester is in chinese so I just did the typical DIY , plugged the cables, downloaded software and driver and started testing. The mistake was I didn't
think about changing my computer. It seems you can't allow the computer to go to sleep while testing (unlike me) . After changing the Power/Sleep option on the computer to Never I now get beautiful graphs and complete data. Who Knew!
Thanks for the support!
