Testing LiFePO4 health

Excellent.
What brand are they?
Charge both batteries 100% before you connect them.
Cool. More dumb beginner questions...so I should avoid connecting them in parallel for now. And charge each individually to 100%? Is charging via solar okay or would you charge them some other way first?

They are EWT Batteries purchased from Alibaba. The theory I went with was that they are the same batteries sold by Renogy, albeit Renogy relabels them. Supposedly they just buy them from EWT.

Hi guys,

I have (2) 200AH LiFePO4 12v batteries. They have been sitting for a bit while I set up the rest of the electrical system in my van. It's taken longer than expected and I'm nervous about hooking them up in case of potential damage.

Does anyone know a relatively cheap/easy/quick(if possible) method for testing to make sure they are not damaged? I am pretty new to this but assuming its the discharge rate that should really be a concern?

Thanks very much for any help

Are they 200ah each Or two 100ah each making 200ah in parallel?

Did anyone ask if he has a BMS or has balanced the cells or do we even know if its a BYO or a retail one ? Does he even know ?

Retail.
Yes he knows and you would too if you read all the posts. ;)
His question was answered.
:) Thanks! I did have just one more. Do I need to avoid connecting them in parallel until I have charged each to 100%?

No
They must be close to each other in state of charge so you can parallel connect and charge then they will balance out.
The postive and negative coming from your 2 parallel connected batteries should not be attached to one battery.
Postive from one and negative to the other.

Okay. WHat did you mean when you said charge both batteries to 100% before connecting them?

Thank you for the reminder that pos/neg should not be attached to one battery.
