Has anyone ever used a cannon plug for solar?

These are very similar to MC4 plugs, except you can get them with more than one pin in each plug.
Closest I’ve found are Anderson Powerpoles but those are not sturdy enough.

Used to change 100 pin cannon plugs at work and I hated it. I’d love to find a two pin plug capable of 10 gauge wire. These are tough and weatherproof.

I made all this effort to keep my wires together in a two wire cable and I can’t find a single plug to accommodate.

I’m looking for something like this. These are made to be connected and disconnected multiple times. They’re extremely tough. A two pin mc4 connector would work, but don’t know if they’re made or not.

I don’t like the Anderson powerpoles I have now. Perhaps the SB are better.

I am looking at about 40 amps. One pin would be positive, the other negative

I like the Molex Connector and may try that next.

The only thing its missing that the cannon plugs can come with is something like a clamp that will keep the two wires from bending in the back. I think its called strain relief. When I move those cables, there’s a bit of pull on the 10 gauge wire as I change the angles, and this pull tufts at the back of the pins, and can undo the insertion or tear from the crimp of the Anderson Powerpoles I’ve used.

yeah
I assume you could add some large gauge heatshrink to the back of the connector and that give a small bit of strain relief (Not sure how well it would work....just thought of it now lol)
