Hi , I’m new to the forum . I’m wondering if anyone knows if there are ways to set parameters on ready made lifepo4 batteries I’m looking at buying a 300ah battery that doesn’t have a bluetooth BMS . I want to set them so that the battery has a chance of lasting a Long long time .
maybe I’ve just missed it but haven’t seen any videos about this subject . i plan to use a dc dc charger to protect the alternator, are you able to set perimeters with those units like the victron smart dc dc charger?

DC-DC chargers typically have configurable parameters (presets and/or editable setpoints). The manual for each will be online; Googling the brand and model with either manual or specs should get you started.

Sizing of the DC-DC may also be a factor in longevity. C/5 charging (20A for 100Ah bank) is a common conservative limit for maximal life, and many battery manufacturers suggest a high of C/2 (50A for 100Ah bank).
