I've overloaded my Victron 375VA Phoenix about 3 times and I expect to be able to do it whenever I want again, and it should never fail. Now I am not purposely trying to do it but if it happens, it is designed to turn off (before turning off it will surge to 700w for 2 minutes).
That being said, unfortunately Victron does not have a fuse (!!!!) on the 48v Phoenix unless you buy the 1200VA. Of course, I didn't know this until after I bought it because I didn't have the manual nor do I read every single possible manual before I buy something.
