I have heard horror stories about eBay and knock off inverters. So I contacted www.mppsolar.com and received an email from a tina@mppsolar. She gave a price of $870 I believe. I'm not sure if her Auto correct is off or if I'm reading it wrong but here is how it appeared to me. Uds 870/pc plus USD 250 dhl shipping from Taiwan 20 days. Have you ever done business with them directly? Can they be trusted, and is there anything to the eBay scams.

I don't know where you live but MPPSolar has an official Aliexpress store https://www.aliexpress.com/store/629424?spm=a2g0o.detail.1000061.1.3da9309eyR4XeU

They have local warehouses and ship for about 90USD (at least here in Europe).

If it's an actual MPPSolar on ebay you should be alright but they warn about knockoffs that look similar but are copies. Please bear in mind though that MPPSolar doesn't actually make them, Voltronic does. Therefore you have the same under other names, such as EASun (https://easunpower.aliexpress.com/store/1953446?spm=2114.12010612.pcShopHead_6170678.0) or Powland (https://powland.aliexpress.com/store/4246039). They are 100% identical, just with a different logo.

Thank you very much. It has been difficult to research given that I am the first of my friends and family to boondock. I have repaired hundreds of cars. But I can't order pizza online. I'm in the US by the way. Thanks.

If you want to buy an MPP you can on eBay just make sure you buy the ones that are located in UTAH. The problem with ordering from Taiwan is that the shipping is often as much as the device.

Utah, okay I'll look for that. Because to be honest with you I really did not want to spend somewhere around $300 for shipping. Thank you.
