Adding another battery

In February 2022 I installed a zooms 200ah plus lithium battery to my 5th wheel trailer. I am considering adding an additional like battery. The company now called Redodo says I can do this even after a year if I properly balance the two batteries before installation. Does Thais seem reasonable?

Shouldn’t be a problem. Unlike Lead-Acid, LFP batteries tend to get along just fine with each other, even if they aren’t identical manufacturer, age, capacity, etc.
You’ll want to make sure they’re at very close the same voltage when you first connect them, otherwise you could get a LOT of current trying to balance. I wouldn’t worry too much about initial SOC (despite what some others on this forum might tell you), they’ll balance to the same SOC on the first charge. And then later they’ll find their own happy places as you charge and discharge them. They won’t always be at the same SOC except at the very top and very bottom but that’s really not an issue.

Hi! Yeah, my experience with LiFePO4 batteries is that they seem to work just fine when connecting up in parallel two different brands and differing capacities as long as they are the same overall voltage (a 48V system in my case). Like LakeHouse replied, I ensured that they were mostly charged prior to connecting them as I didn't want massive currents flowing between the batteries through the wires and fuses and stressing them out. To date I have not been able to fault the arrangement. Cheers. Chris

So, I currently have a 3 year old Battleborn 100ai 12 volt lithium in my travel trailer.
I want to add a second lithium to support an inverter.

Because of the difference in costs, I would like to get a SOK 100ai. The SOK will live in harmony with my Battleborn?

Yep. Given user serviceability of at least some of the SOKs, I'd prefer them over BB for that reason alone. LFP is very tolerant of even surprisingly wide variances in even size (Ah rating) of parallel strings.
