Conductor length

Just want to confirm that each polarity of conductors must be the same length, not the entirety of all conductors. For example in the picture below, the red wires are 5 feet from the bus bar, while the black is 8ft from the bus bar. Is this correct, if not why?

Two considerations.
Total Resistance of each battery circuit should be kept low (low voltage drop = no unwanted heat) by properly choosing and sizing cable, lugs and quality copper bus bars.
The resistance of each individual battery circuit should be the same for each battery pack so they charge and discharge at the same rate. In other words it doesn't matter if the black wire is longer than the red wire as long as its the same for both packs as you have shown in the drawing.
 
@BentleyJ thank you for the response, I absolutely follow you, I wasn't intending to potentially have one of the black or red wires be a separate length, just trying to not have additional feet or wire used for say the red conductors simply because the black wire has to travel another foot or two.
