Overkill SOC Reset

Hey everyone,

I have two BMS from Overkill and I’m not a huge fan. They’re always changing their values on me and such. Last time I was on shore power and had a fully charged system, I reset my Victron Shunt. I’m doing great with my consumption and maintaining a full charge every day, weather permitting. How do I rest a 100% charge on these silly BMS’s? Ones showing 169.37Ah out of 280 possible and the other shows 235Ah.

Try changing the capacity setting to something else. And then change it back.
Thank you, I’ve done this. It’s actually part of why I don’t like these Overkill BMS’s. They randomly change settings on me. When I do this, it does bump the capacity up a tad, but nowhere near 100%.

Another option is to set the over voltage protection to the current cell voltage. This alarm should reset to 100%.

Deep in the settings there are options to set soc based on voltage, at least in the overkill homegrown app. I'd grab a screenshot but I ditched my bluetooth so I could have comms with solar assistant.
You need to set your 100% value to whatever your full charge cell voltage is.
Ps - I've never had an issue with settings changing on 4 of my JBDs, they just work.

These suggestions should work.

Whenever the BMS parameters are updated, the BMS will re-adjust the SOC based upon the voltages that have been defined.

So, check what your SOC voltages are; hit the Write button and the BMS will set its internal SOC based on the max cell voltage.
