Not that I noticed. I’m running the thing down to cut off values now. Been pulling just under 1500w for over an hour how. I’ll recharge from there and see what happens
Just finished a sump pump backup with 8x100ah EVE cells, a Sigineer 1500w charger/inverter and a 100amp overkill bms. Any of these bms settings look like they would stop me charging at 27.3v and not go to at least the 8x3.55v I have set as cell full voltage ? Or is the 80% just a calibration...
Anybody dealt with her for cells? Got my order in 5/5 with an estimated arrival 5/31 at the latest. That’s come and gone and it’s still marked as processing, not even shipped and she reads my inquiries and doesn’t respond for updates. Gujie International Technology. Beware
Look at all of this thread. I had same problem with no clunk. There is a blue wire that needs tied to the high voltage. On the original wiring , it was going to a post on the original charge port, from there it went as a red wire to a pig tail off the main battery connection. I cut their little...
It seems like 2 of the posts are scorched the most. It was my first time using it. After that first hour, maybe I should have checked tightness of connections before I started up again. Oh well, at least my ass didn't catch on fire.
No idea what happened. Had been mowing for about 1h, stopped to feed my dog, came back out and was on it 10-15 more minutes when I looked at the bms app and saw way effed up numbers. Was going to get off to see if a monitor wire came off when it started smoking then poof some flames. Didn’t...
Dang it. It’s because I was gonna use the blue connect to hook into my charger and so snipped that. As soon as I put the red wire back in there I get clunk. I need to find a local source for an Anderson type connector so I can put this red wire back in that loop and get my charger easily...
I did top balance them to around 3.60 but maybe I’ll try again. The voltage is at 54+ though why would the mower not give me anything on the ignition side?
Anybody have ideas on where to troubleshoot issues once we upgrade? I had it working, ran it about 20 minutes. Hooked it up to the charger and found out one of my cells keeps going over limit faster than others. So I left it unplugged and was going to go back to it and drive it down to zero so...
Still gotta clean up the rats nest but I’m almost there. I will try to change out the what looks like 12ga wire going from the charger plug connector to the main battery connection to a 10 gauge for the 25 amp eg4 charger
Thanks to all for your info and inspiration. Here is my addition to the list of converts. It was a pain in the butt trying to get the new meter in there and my dremel zipped onto the surface a few times. Still need to get the batteries setup and figure out where to put the Overkill BMS. I...
I'm using the SAM simulator and using some of the configurations I've mentioned, with my specific weather data, it appears to give me the power output I need for my worst month. That's why I was trying to match things so well.
So, it seems you maximized your mppt since 24*250 = 6000 exactly. As long as your Voc on each panel isn't over 37.5 ?
What inverter are you using? I'm looking at the MPP6548 x 2 at first but ordering enough panels to expand to #3 if needed.
Signature solar is really close with some 395W panels but again, without the 400w, I'm leaving a bit on the table with the mppt in the inverter, plus now the 395W are sold out on sigsolar
I'm not. I'm just trying to maximize the inverter capabilities. 6s2p of the 330 (as long as the Voc is acceptable) or 5s2p of the 400 both eek out every bit of available wattage allowed. 4s2p of 500 would also do it but 500w are not cheap yet. I have a large area at the back of my property...
Thanks, yes, I've looked there but no 330 or 400 watt panels.. Would definitely prefer new. The 330w on watts247 don't have good specs, so would limit me by 2 panels on each mppt on the inverter I am looking to use.
Does nobody want my money these days?? I email folks and either don't get emailed back or get a million questions about who is installing my system, when all I wanted was a quote (as was worded on their webpage) for the panels I asked about.
Looking for either 80 panels of 330W
OR
65...
Got this set of 16 for a swap in my Ryobi mower from the original Lead Acid. Was already on its way from China and landed in Houston not too long ago. Only took 5 days to get to Ohio from TX (showed up 2 days early). $914 shipped. Supposedly CALB
Thank you, yes I saw that when I actually focused on looking for the answer. I see a 48v 25a charger for lithium out there that has alligator clips. I’d need to run thicker wires with a new connection anyway if I didn’t want to butcher the original charger/cord
