    Predator or Champion?

Love those old Jeeps! (except the YJ, and the 70's commando or jeepster)

    Predator or Champion?

    A YJ? really? My first conveyance was a 1953 CJ-3B. 4cyl. (which I drove in an off-road race at age 18) I have owned a 1949 willys, wagon with a Ford V8 I shoehorned in W/advanced adaptors. A 1972 CJ-5, a 1974 CJ-5, a 2001 TJ, Various XJ's old gladiator's, etc. I also owned Many other brands...

    Predator or Champion?

Your Honda is easily convertible to dual-fuel, you know. I like propane as a fuel, but when I boondock, I need it to run my fridge and heater and for cooking. Propane also has a lot less energy, and has a larger power loss at higher altitudes.

    Predator or Champion?

Interesting. Jeeps are a premium priced conveyance. Some will say they are vastly over priced. Why buy a jeep when there are other, lower priced alternatives? Most of the RV'ers and Jeep folks I know vastly prefer Honda's over the China stuff. Honda's have always been the most reliable of all...

If you want long life, reliability, and quiet, just buy the Honda.

What is the logic in a 2400W output solar generator… with a 1500Wh battery?

The Bluetti AC180 goes on initial sale tomorrow, for $799. 1800 watt inverter, but only 1152wh battery. But it weighs 35lbs, so a very handy weight. I can see this being very useful for camping and around my farm for remote power tools.

    12-24v SC Air conditioner

I had one of those units in an Aliner A-frame camper I had. It was worthless for cooling. It simply didn't work. I tried everything, changed the vents, added hose for additional vent's etc. In a word, these suck!

Easiest solution to provide generator "boost" for HVAC peak inrush

I have a portable A/C I use to cool a 250sqFt room at my cabin when it's really hot. It was like ~$260. All of my windows are casement in that room. It works quite well to cool things off.

Getting to bulk mode charge mode

Well, the HQST mppt controllers can be linked together, and are quite reasonable. https://hqsolarpower.com/40a-mppt-solar-charge-controller-with-bluetooth-lcd-display/

    Stock Tank Solar Power

In western nebraska/South Dakota/eastern Wyo, Waterfowl hunters use exactly that to keep water open on a pond in the most severe conditions. There are ready made rigs to bubble or even floating circulating pumps. Gotta be the best solution to this problem.

    What size generator?

But it's a nice weird to have, ain't it?

    What size generator?

Alrighty. I thought you said 5K watts, not 3, but maybe I wasn't paying attention. On my off toad trailer, I have 200watts solar, + 600 portable in needed, 206Ah LifePo4 + 2000 watt inverter if needed. Obviously, I don't run the 13K AC off the batts, and rarely the micro. Water heater and...

    What size generator?

I'm a little confused with this thread. The folks I know with very large 5th wheel RV's and other large TT's all seem to get by quite well with no more than <=4500 watt gennys when boondocking. (including PV, of course). With my own small (18ft) trailer, I run the 13K AC and micro with a 2200...

Some ways to run a fridge on solar energy

I have a couple of small compressor fridge cooler's that I use for camping. They are both extremely efficient, if a little small for the OP's purposes. The smaller of the two pulls 20-35 watts when running. When set to maintain <38 degrees, the 24 hour power draw is 135Wh. A 100 watt panel and...

EB3A "Overload" When Used as Uninterruptible Power Supply

Mine is still working great, no issues going on 4 months now. Solar, UPS mode, DC/AC. Very pleased with this unit.

Yes, you will need a soft start device to run the 16K with the 2200i

EB3A "Overload" When Used as Uninterruptible Power Supply

Well, at least so far, it's been a handy little unit. I have other, larger pps's , but the EB3A is just so convenient, and my only one with UPS. I hope they get the bugs worked out.

EB3A "Overload" When Used as Uninterruptible Power Supply

No problems with mine in UPS mode. 1 month now. If I put it in "silent mode", there is only a slight warming on the top, fan does not run. I has been a good little unit for me. Too bad you got a bad one.

    HQST MPPT 40amp Charge controller.

In theory, the BMS should take care of the balancing. If it's a sealed case, that would be the only way. One cycle down to 0 shouldn't seriously damage the battery, the BMS should have a low voltage cutoff anyways. it sounds like you have something else going on. Is the battery covered by warranty?

    HQST MPPT 40amp Charge controller.

I am unfamiliar with the E02 error. I haven't experienced any errors yet with my setup. I can only speak to my experience with my rebel 50aH and the SOK 100aH. They have both been trouble free for the period I have had them. (1 year rebel, 4 months SOK). I see from the manual that the E02 error...

Yes, I am using LiFePo4 batteries, SOK 100aH and a Rebel 50aH, for separate applications. Here are my user settings so far. Note: screenshot is from the bluetooth app for the HQST 40A charge controller.

    "Renewed" Bluetti units from MaxOak

I bet you get it sooner. I use my eb70 lots camping, the inverter has enough power to run my single serve coffee maker, and I also use it to run a compressor DC fridge. I have over 400 watts of folding panels, so I can boondock almost indefinitely with the 100ah SOK house battery and the bluetti...

I'm just saying the EB70 has been a good unit for me, and the $269 for the renewed sounds good.

    "Renewed" Bluetti units from MaxOak

Sounds like a good deal to me. I have had the (EB70) non-renewed version for almost a year, and I have no complaints. I paid I think $400.

    Aframe Solar Set Up

Be advised that I have found that at least on my 2022 Aliner, the zamp connector's polarity is REVERSED from standard SAE. Sneaky move on zamp's part to force you to use their way more expensive solar panels. You can buy an adapter for like 2 bucks to fix it.
