Are your panels held down by clamps? My main concern is whether or not clamping force is appropriate for a moving vehicle. I don't really understand the engineering guarantees behind clamps. They certainly feel snug and secure, and I did use loctite and will make sure I check on it every so...

I think i will be going forward with some kind of mounts that I can attach a roof rack onto. It seems like the Thule artificial rain gutter mounts will be best, mounted to the side of fiberglass roof. That makes sense that the main force will be a pulling up rather than pushing down.
