These 200watt flexible panels on amazon any good?

+1. Look at the dimensions - 46x21inches. Cant physically be more than ~100w each.

Lishen 272 Ah Top Balance and Capacity Test

Your premise is flawed. If you let the cells sit unloaded for 24 hours they would have naturally settled to rest at 3.37~3.4 volts per cell (about 13.5 for the pack). The discharge you did actually used some of the usable capacity and you started your test only 98% full or so.

New guy (but not new to batteries) builds a portable power box

Questions for the group: 1 Does anybody have any idea what manufacturer makes the 90Ah cells on the AliX BLS store? Id like to look at a datasheet if I can. 2 Should I put plastic separators between the cans? I tested them with the fluke and the cans *are* neutral... no continuity to...

New guy (but not new to batteries) builds a portable power box

And this is my typical use case.... Charge it up with the powerlab before a day of flying, and then I run the hobby chargers off it at the field which can draw up to 20-30A. Goal to leave it between 40 and 70% SOC when I put it away. The imbalance at the top of the knee.... went away as soon...

New guy (but not new to batteries) builds a portable power box

Then I installed it into the box, clamped. (My smallest torque wrench only goes down to 20in-lb so I just hand tightened the clamps with the cells discharged). I hooked up the BMS and also made a balancing harness for the Powerlab charger. I disabled BMS balance and am using active balance...

New guy (but not new to batteries) builds a portable power box

The cells arrived packed very well and visually *look* new. Intact QR codes, etc. They shipped at practically empty SOC as far as I can tell. I started by top balancing using my CellPro powerlab. It is limited to 20A out in single cell mode so it took over a day. I let it taper down to 2A...

New guy (but not new to batteries) builds a portable power box

I signed up on here mostly to research before putting together my project so I thought I would share. Background: I'm not doing this for solar, I'm an RC airplane/helicopter hobbyist and use a portable power box to run battery chargers. I used to haul a heavy AGM but wanted to try LFP (in RC...

    Do I need a BMS

Aha.. I guessed close... Duos are nice. Ive got my eye on the new Dual PL6 touch. Just like htat ecosystem as Ive been using them since they first supported A213s back in the 00's.... Thinking dual not because of big packs like yours, but having LOTS of small 3S2000/3000s and 6S1500s for...

    Do I need a BMS

BTW, I did the "parallel top balance" the way its reccomended here and it took FOREVER as the PL limted to 20A in unbalanced mode. I should have just let it balance normally the first time. If your curious this is what a partial charge looked like. Starting at about 60% charged, 34A (.3C) CC...

    Do I need a BMS

Another new guy here that found this place for the same reason... building a LFP to replace the heavy AGM I used for field charging. I’m almost done with a similar project, but smaller... 90Ah cells and I use a PL6 (my biggest electrics are 6S3700s, rest gas) I did opt for the BMS just in...
