14.4 KW solar, 40.96 kWh backup, 2 solark 15k inverters, off grid family home, doable or delusional?

This is very similar to our setup, (we're in East Texas) so here's some thoughts to consider. Your mileage may vary. 1. Go with a dual fuel hvac. Heat pumps/inverters are amazingly efficient but suck when it gets below 35°. Also, if it's cloudy for a few days they will drain your batteries...

Monitoring sunsynk (deye) via intelless API

But how do you adjust or change the inverter parameters? Monitoring them locally is great (which I do), but i want to adjust sell-back and SoC limits based in stuff like weather forecasts.

    Sol-Ark needs a serious Change!

I just monitor my sol-ark inverters locally over MODBus, via RS485 to an eGauge. Under emergency conditions like a storm when i really need to be grid independent i don't have Internet anyway.

    Question About Surge Protectors

I have trouble with my inverters resetting/rebooting when local-area lightning causes surges back down the AC grid side. I think it's time to install a surge capacitor on that side of the site.

Near Real Time Sol-Ark 12K Monitoring

So... I have a pair of 12k sol-ark inverters (master/slave) and I use an eGauge to collect data and monitor my whole system. They are a lot pricier than a Raspberry Pi for sure, but it gives us a lot of other features. For data collection, I just made a MODBus rs-485 cable and used the...

    Sol-Ark needs a serious Change!

This is pretty much our exact installation and usage pattern - this all sounds familiar. Our difference is we installed two 12k's and run them in a master/slave configuration, with half the solar running to each. In this manner I can push 18k (9kW x 2) to the grid, except we've limited it to...
