EcoFlow Delta Pro and transfer switch setup

My solution is a Generac 6382 Whole Panel 200A Utility / 30A Generator Manual Transfer Switch. This switch / subpanel was installed in the garage in series with the main service lines next to my existing panel. I hired an electrician to do that. An added bonus is that I can eventually add a...

    EcoFlow Delta Pro Discussion

Re: Will's review... Agree that the extra battery not having any stand-alone features and not being able to charge it separately are lost opportunities. I think Will underestimated the overall charge time for a Pro + 2 extra batteries from solar at 1600 W - it will take around 8 or 9 hours...

    EcoFlow Delta Pro Discussion

I bought a 240V/15A 6-15P power cord, a 50' 6-20 extension cord to go with it, and an adapter to the L14-30S socket on my 7kW Honda inverter generator. With a 240V input the Delta Pro and external battery charged from 65% to 100% in 1 hour and 17 minutes. I had the charge rate set to 3kW but...

Anyone find a generic storage cover that is a good fit? The one from EcoFlow is too elaborate to put on and take off and doesn't completely cover the unit.

    EcoFlow Delta Pro Discussion

@guerby I had the Delta Pro and the AC output set in the app to never go into standby. I unplugged the refrigerator (the Delta Pro's AC output was off) and then plugged the Delta Pro in for charging. I wasn't trying to check the EPS function as the Delta Pro was unplugged when it was powering...

    EcoFlow Delta Pro Discussion

I ran a capacity test in my expected hurricane back-up use case. I have a Delta Pro and one external battery for a total 7.2 kWh nominal capacity. I charged them to 100% and then ran my ~26 cubic foot double door Whirlpool refrigerator on the AC output until the batteries were depleted to 0%...

    EcoFlow Delta Pro Discussion

Thanks @Supervstech! I'm thinking about electrical panel upgrades (generator inlet box, master breaker with interlock, EV charging socket) so I'll have that circuit upgraded at the same time if it can be done. I'll also be able to use the 240 V EV socket for even faster Delta Pro charging...

    EcoFlow Delta Pro Discussion

I discovered that the breaker is 15 A when it popped after the Delta Pro had been charging for about 15 minutes. I reduced the charge rate to 1 kW and there was no problem after that. P.S. The garage door opener is on a dedicated 20 A breaker with an outlet on the 9 ft. ceiling...

    EcoFlow Delta Pro Discussion

My Delta Pro arrived today. I can confirm that the RV socket polarity is correct. (Line and neutral were swapped on early units.) The only issue so far is that the 15 A circuit in my garage is inadequate so I have to AC charge at a reduced rate. I don't have solar panels so I can't check for...

    AC200 Max & B230 Expansion Battery

I just noticed that the B300 battery is 74 lbs. - yikes! Having wheels like the EP500 and the Delta Pro makes a lot more sense when things start getting this heavy.

    Ecoflow Steppin' up!!

I got an e-mail that looks like the web page. Looks very promising, 3.6 kWh or more will go a long way in a hurricane. EV-style fast charging is an innovative feature. Fingers crossed that the AC inverter is more efficient than the one in the original Delta 1300. Hopefully it's not through...

Bluetti EB5000 Solar & Hernia Generator

Anybody figure out how they're able to get 6000 W from two Pros with the split phase combiner box plugged into 20 A outlets? They would have to push 25 A to get 6000 W.

Bluetti EB5000 Solar & Hernia Generator

Other than big battery capacity, the EP500 Pro's quick recharge is its best feature. Unfortunately I'll have to pay for features I don't need (bigger inverter, higher solar power capacity) to get fast charging but even so it's a good value. My use case is hurricane power backup with generator...

Simultaneous Charge/Discharge (pass through?) on all-in-one systems and impact on battery longevity. Considering Bluetti AC200 and EcoFlow Delta

The Ecoflow Delta is not a good UPS replacement because its inverter is always on and its battery is always topping off when it's being used in this way, which will degrade its NMC battery pack in the long term. From personal experience I can say that you'll be disappointed with the Delta's...

    Milwaukee MX Fuel Carry-On™

Pricey but it's good to see something like this from a mainstream brand. I'm guessing that its inverter conversion efficiency is similar to the Ecoflow Delta's, which means that you'll definitely need to swap batteries if, for example, you would like to run a refrigerator overnight.

    Will's anti-crowdfunding video & Bluetti AC200

My Ecoflow Delta is the same. In a ~9 hour discharge test power delivered to my full-size Whirlpool refrigerator was only ~600 Wh. The rest of the battery capacity was used up by the AC inverter's self consumption.

    Omni Off-grid (1500Wh, 100W USB-C, 1500W inverter)

The updated specs are solid. For my use cases I would like it to be able to charge fast from AC like the Ecoflow Delta. EDIT: faster 600W charging is possible through the XT60/Anderson solar input. I can't tell if it's added/combined with the 300W "aviation port" charging input.

KiloVault RES-Q Portable Emergency Power Unit

    EcoFlow DELTA 1300 (Plug-N-Play)

The manual states that the KiloVault RES-Q only accepts 12 V sources. ("for example, solar panel, hand crank, windmill, etc.") The weight could be a deal (and back!) breaker for sure. It's also more expensive. Anyway, I hope that Ecoflow includes a battery expansion port on their follow up...

    EcoFlow DELTA 1300 (Plug-N-Play)

Will just reviewed one of KiloVault's batteries. They also make a generator that is somewhat similar to the Delta. It's not as pretty as EcoFlow's products but it has an external expansion battery port that the Delta lacks: https://kilovault.com/kilovault-res-q/

Share Your "Real World" Solar Generator Stories

My real world use case is hurricane backup but we've been fortunate this year. I tested my Ecoflow Delta with a full-size Whirlpool double door refrigerator and was disappointed that the Delta ran it for only 9 hours. The Kill-A-Watt showed that the Whirlpool consumed only 800 Wh, which is a...

    Omni Off-grid (1500Wh, 100W USB-C, 1500W inverter)

Ecoflow sent out a survey a couple of months ago about a follow-up to the Delta. The Omni Off-Grid basically lines up with my replies in that survey (expandable storage, efficient AC inverter) so I'm tempted to sign up. Is anybody here familiar with them?

    EcoFlow DELTA 1300 (Plug-N-Play)

As I understand it, the Delta's inverter always consumes battery power when the AC output is on. This causes the phantom current drain that periodically triggers a re-charge. This is different from a normal UPS where the inverter is normally disabled and bypassed with a relay.
