Just bought a couple used 215watt panels for 20 bucks each. The max voltage is high enough to the point where I'm either gonna hit 95% and be uncomfortable hooking it to my 40amp controller in series or just have to go parallel. Anyhow, why are the older panels such higher voltage?

Hello. The epever newer charge controllers have 4s and 8s settings for 12v and 24 volt respectively. I have two 12v batteries in series so 24v system total. Do I simply use the setting for 24v even though the single batteries are 12v? Thanks.
