How to limit charged and discharged (voltage) on li-ion battery bank?

Thanks Will. Is it ok to use a solar charge controller to charge a battery with a dc power supply (instead of input from solar panels)? And is it possible to manage (limit) discharge voltage with a DC to DC converter?

How to limit charged and discharged (voltage) on li-ion battery bank?

I'll check with them for simpler models. Price for that is too steep... ;)

How to limit charged and discharged (voltage) on li-ion battery bank?

My cells are rated 3.6 Volt (https://lygte-info.dk/review/batteries2012/Samsung%20INR18650-25R%202500mAh%20(Green)%20UK.html) I am looking to make a 3S configuration for a testing project.

How to limit charged and discharged (voltage) on li-ion battery bank?

I've looked for the chargery bms's and they all seems to be disigned for Lipo, LiFe and LiTo, not for Li-ion... Do you know of a specific model for Li-ion?

How to limit charged and discharged (voltage) on li-ion battery bank?

Well, I can't find any BMS configured to the said parameters, but do they costumize them by request, or can they be programmed?

How to limit charged and discharged (voltage) on li-ion battery bank?

So, in order to prolong battery life (in cycles) it is advised to cycle li-ion far from the upper an lower voltage limits, so I want to limit the "charged state" voltage of each cell to 4,0V and the "discharged state" to 3,0V. The problem is I can't find a BMS that works with those voltage...

BYD Battery and MPP LV5048 Vid.

How did you pulled that off? I'm getting quotes of around 4000 EUR for 16x200Ah CALB/WINSTON cells and over 4200 for the LG RESU 48v 126Ah or the BYD L7.0 48v (7.0kWh ~ around 145Ah). 800Ah are utopic for me...

What?! Wait... How many Ah is your battery pack? And is 48v right?

Beware? Shenzhen GTKPower batteries - Aliexpress lifepo4

Believe me when I say no one is safe from such a purchase. There's no reason to feel bad about it. I have spent a few thousands on Ebay, Amazon, Aliexpress, Wish, Banggood, Gearbest, etc... And I have had my share of bad experiences, mostly with sellers from China (no matter the platform)...

I actually have a general ideia of what I need (and will be able to afford). Should I open a new topic elsewhere? Maybe in the "Residential Solar"...

That's a neat setup. Can we know the cost of it?

That's right, I believe we have around 300 sunny days per year, and also on the coastal line and on the hills we have lots of wind. Anyway, sun is more assiduous... You know what? That's more or less in the range I was thinking for my own setup. I think wheather conditions in California are...

How to increase the life of your lithium batteries

The main idea I get from reading trough the forum and watching Will's videos, is that heat is the main factor that influences lithium batteries life. So what's preventing people from adding active heat dissipation to their battery banks?! I am no engineer, but I guess is not that difficult or...

Struggling to determine the perfect set up....battery memory effect considerations

wow! Is that a reliable source of information? I mean, I was almost decided to go for a lithium battery bank for a solar system I intend to build, mainly because I was pretty much convinced that any lithium variants (including LiFePo4) were not vulnerable to memory effects. The...

Hello everybody! My name is Bruno and I live in Portugal. I just discovered the forum from Will Prowse's Youtube channel. I want to install a solar system and I'm studying what kind of system will be the right for me, so hope to exchange some ideas to help me build it...
