Inverter with off grid capabilities WITHOUT battery

Ok I understand, thank you for your explanation. I'll just have to wait then, since the IQ8 series is not available in France yet. Edit : Enphase has a great document about the consequences of having panels more powerful than the max output of the inverter, really interesting...

Inverter with off grid capabilities WITHOUT battery

Thanks to all of you for your interesting posts, I'm learning many things. Just to update, after some research, I'm attracted by the Enphase IQ8 series. It seems suitable to what I'm looking for, with the ability to provide emergency power without the need of any battery when used in conjunction...

Inverter with off grid capabilities WITHOUT battery

Only if there is no sun or if the inverter does not support it (and most of them don't) But some grid tied inverters are able to provide power from the panels to the house in the event of an outage even without battery, this is precisely what I'm looking for

Inverter with off grid capabilities WITHOUT battery

Well it's true they don't pay much but that's still enough to be worth it as long as I do the installation myself For 6.5kW of solar panels + supports to mount them + the inverter, the electrical box, cables and everything, I'm at about 5500€ I should be able to sell unused energy for about...

Inverter with off grid capabilities WITHOUT battery

Yes it's the kind of feature I want but my problem with it is that from what I understand, it's limited to 2kW Edit : Thinking about it 2kW would already be great, but after looking for it, it seems like the SMA inverters that have this "SPS" feature are not available in France...

Inverter with off grid capabilities WITHOUT battery

Yes, I know, in fact I'm not planning on making my installation next week, I'm thinking maybe 6 months to one year from now The price I have for now is around 5500 to 6000€ for a 6.5kWc kit. I'll install the panels myself. Yeah that's what I'm referring to. Ok I understand. And is there any...

Inverter with off grid capabilities WITHOUT battery

Maybe but that would mean adding yet another feature to look for for my inverter, which is that it should be able to accept any battery. I don't know much about all of this, and I know a battery is just a battery, but the 2 models of hybrid inverter my provider showed me both use only...

Inverter with off grid capabilities WITHOUT battery

Is that true even if the solar installation is much more than I need ? I'll install 6kW and I rarely need more that 2 or 3kW I could use a 1kWh deep cycle lead acid battery in the event of an outage, would that help ? Yes of course but I can accept that. This is a compromise between cost and...

Inverter with off grid capabilities WITHOUT battery

Hi, I'd like to install solar panels on my house. My goal is to reduce my bills, carbon footprint, and dependency to the grid. That last point is important to me, but not enough to make me buy an expensive battery. Not knowing much about solar, I naively assumed that any solar installation would...
