Schneider Insight 2.18 bn41 - anyone install the upgrade?

Smart. I like the suggested approach on incrementing the voltage. I used to have my bulk/absorb set to 55.8 but did not get the alarm. I wanted to use EG4's recommended settings thinking that it was better for the battery overall. Thank you @400bird @n2aws I do need to try and balance them...

Schneider Insight 2.18 bn41 - anyone install the upgrade?

BMS disconnect may seem likely. I checked on my batteries and noted that I had several with cell over voltage alarms. I am sorry I couldn't fit all the cells in one screen shot, but you can see the max voltage and the max difference numbers to give you an idea of the state of the battery...

Schneider Insight 2.18 bn41 - anyone install the upgrade?

Yes on the 55.4v and above. It has done both alarm and fault. I had my HBCO set to 58.2v and was getting f49 fault that would shut the inverters down. Raised the HBCO up to 58.4v and now just get warnings. Actual battery voltages do not get above 56.2v (bulk/absorb). So if I crank the HBCO up to...

Schneider Insight 2.18 bn41 - anyone install the upgrade?

Any follow up on this. I have my MPPTs set to EG4s recommended lifepower4 settings (56.2v bulk/absorb and 54V float). My inverter HBCO keeps flashing an alarm even when set at 58.4v as I saw recommended elsewhere. I'm off grid no ac charging. Do I crank the HBCO up to 59.2v on the inverter to...

    EG4 battery floating at 58.4V

Did this satisfy your system and eliminate the shutdown due to high level battery cutout (HBCO)? I am having a similar issue it seems @Markus_EG4 what the eg4 Schneider setup guide walks through inverter settings. What about the MPPT settings? Do you have any recommendations in regard to...

    Best replacement for EG4 6500's?

I switched from two eg4 6500ex to two Schneider XW pros, and three of their 100 amp mppts. I made the switch back in April of this year and have been really pleased. I have put close to 3 megawatts through them and am very impressed. No issues. Firmwarewise, I did an initial update of everything...

Schneider Insight 2.18 bn41 - anyone install the upgrade?

I am curious about the same thing. Was going to install 1.18bn33 but they pulled it before I could upgrade. I'm not typically an early adopter, but I'm thinking of trying the upgrade soon. If anyone else has tries bn41 we'd appreciate your insight (pun intended).

    Low Noise Inverter

I had two EG4 6500s in my small shop. Great units, but they were rather loud under full sun. I could hear them a little outside with the insulated doors closes. I upgraded to Schneider XW pros this year and they are so much quieter. As Prowse has noted, low frequency inverters have a...

Schneider XW pro 6k vs. Eg4 18k - need help deciding

If you look down in the comments of the YouTube video Sol Ark commented and requested he try the same test with their 15k. They didn't dispute the testing method. Both are great units, but each have their strengths. Schneider happened to be more convincing in their specs to me.

Schneider XW pro 6k vs. Eg4 18k - need help deciding

I have been running two Schneider XW pros for about four months and love them. I upgraded from two EG4 6500s. I can tell you, with those units I was always worried about overloading or tripping, but that isn't even in my mind now with the XWs. They just work. Certainly more expensive and...

I have 31 of them on my shed and have been very pleases. They've been up there about a year and in use for about 8 of those. I would recommend ordering one or two extra. My truckload had one panel with spider crack glass. signature solar refunded me quickly, but couldn't send a replacement...

No Faith Or Trust In the EG4 6500 EX. Looking For Recommendations.

I have been running on two Schneider XW pros for about 2 months now and run 700kw of load through them. If you can stomach the cost go with Schneider. They are built like tanks and will take everything you can throw at them and keep on trucking. I'm sorry your EG4s did not work out. I ran a pair...

LED flicker with Schneider XW Pro

TIGO rapid shutdown modules on each panel (I forget the model number). When in the off state each module outputs about 0.57 volts, so when the rapid shutdown is off the voltages add up on each array to equal a 4.7V off voltage. I know the transmitter works because when I turn power on to the...
