Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

I don't know about your purchase but my seller Rain told me these were EVE cells from the very first interaction with them. I cover it in my review thread. I was also told grade A! It doesn't matter what voltage I've charged these cells to, they have never stayed there. According to the spec...

Seriously, you don't remember the whole blowup here earlier?? https://diysolarforum.com/threads/xuba-electronics-deal-280ah-lifepo4-cells-purchase-review.3850/post-65505 Definitely claiming EVE cells. I'm starting to think yeah these are maybe EVE cells but they didn't make their grade A...

You'd think that but from what I've learned here the only real way to make sure they are all balanced is go to 3.6x v parallel then let them rest to be sure of top balance.

Dongguan Lighting: Purchase 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

Here's my thought on the 3.35v charge. When I charged to 3.35 then stopped there, the cells dropped well below this number. When I finally did my last charge and pushed through 3.35 it took a long time. Because these cells have such a huge longevity at 3.35 it's only reasonable to me that it...

Dongguan Lighting: Purchase 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

Hi and yes I looked it up, I paid $323 usd for a set of 4 PS Just checked the price on the site and yes it's up there. But I'm also noticing there's no % discount right now either. I'll bet that typical sale price comes back soon like it's usually always been there.

K, so this is where I get confused. From what I see on the diagrams the chargery hooks up to the victron multiplus?

My plans came back today and they drew out most all of my components, even the chargery is there but my renogy 40A dc dc charger which I enquired about already isn't. Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like I don't even need relays or SSRs on this system?

Today I received my new 250A Daly BMS and Active balancer.

Wow, I didn't know daly made a 250A. Does it have a low temp disconnect sensor? Is this a common or a separate port?

DIY Lifepo4 Battery - Component Checklist

I did end up buying the renogy dc dc 40a charger from Canada website. It was only 180 cdn free shipping with coupon. Heck of a lot better than 500 for a Sterling. Plus Will liked the renogy so that's good enough for me.

Yeah sorry I did see the edit but I didn't add it to my response above cause it didn't change my answer.. But, I wouldn't be tooooo worried about it yet if you're saying some .12 and .13's are in there now, that is still quite close.

Finally hit the top....kinda, almost. I left for work today and the cells were at 3.622V. I took them off the charger which was at 3.65v and 0.9A 12 hours later, back home now they are still resting and are at 3.561v. I'll see what they are in the morning and report back.

DIY Lifepo4 Battery - Component Checklist

And not only that, it's called a 50A but i believe it's only 25A solar mppt and 25A dc dc charger. This is what one reviewer wrote on Amazon about it. "Excellent for my RV, it has the ability to charge lithium batteries, by solar panels or DC-DC. Only downside is it’s only allowed up to 25Amp...

They're the same cell as Amy, they have the same QR code so they probably have the same source. Dongguans have been as advertised so far. Update my cells are @ 3.368V with about 215 hours in them.

Dongguan is where I got mine from cheaper cause of their shipping. I've been charging the cells @3.65v 7A with about 180 hours in them. They seem to be as advertised so far.

It's up to you on if you want to take the risk. Personally I don't believe they are EVE cells but I also don't regret buying them yet either. They are appearing to be as advertised AH wise so far and that's what counts to me.

    24v or 12v 3000 victron

I dont know if I'm over my head here (well, actually yes I do know I am over my head) but isnt our ultimate goal to kinda just make a BB replacement battery for much less cost? Could one of these 300A BMS be the answer? What am I obviously missing here...

Morning Sgt, yes I remember you mentioning that before but I figure I've got another obstacle over your charge. You only have 4 cells, I have 8. It will take twice as long for me. So, I ran downstairs into the garage and they're at 3.354V now lol.

Update, these cells are more mind boggling to me than I imagined. I put them back on the PS around 14 hours ago @3.64v 7.5A, it took about an hr for the multimeter to read 3.35v again from 3.336v Ok no problem, so here it is 14 hours later and the PS is still quiet and cool humming away around...
