My meter and load center both have separate 200amp breakers... Im not sure if I need the bypass my meter does have a disconnect so that is an option simply shut off the meter breaker... I use under 6kw 85 to 90 percent of the time I do peak to 8KWish occasionally if alot of loads are 9n at...

I've been thinking about options if I decided to go with this converter for a while and I'm trying to avoid an independent disconnect...I.e. pulling my panel apart putting in switched etc...I have a ton of room in my existing main panel which is 200 am. Why couldn't I add a 2 Pole Circuit...

Are you going to use these as pass through or to simply feed your home grid??? If you have two of them and need a battery anyway wouldn't it be easier and maybe more economical without needing a bunch of disconnects etc to simply use the battery to enable grid down back up vs using pass through...

My service is 200 amps but my back up generator is 6500watts 240 volts and runs about everything I need unless my 4 freezers and electric watter heater go on at same time in an emergency outage... But because my main is 200 amp Im assuming I need 200 amp breaker... If I didnt need the pass...

Yeah I thought about it all day off and on and came to same conclusion I think a manual one is appropriate because if the inverter fails seems manual intervention is appropriate I guess an automatic would work if inverter lost all power but what about a partial failure etc??? BUT OUCH 200 amp...

Ok I have another question does this unit Hire an electrician to put a disconnect on your side of the meter then it's no problem and no ones business why you want a disconnect it's simply for safety...

See I had to reread the cut sheet I missed the built in transfer switch!!!

Would a 200amp double throw transfer switch say at the house after the meter not work one position one the power comes from meter to switch to inverter position two it goes grid to main house panel??? Then a simple 200 amp breaker between the inverter and main panel???

Maybe a switch between the inverter and the panel if the inverter failed transfer power from inverter to panel direct from gridl and shut off switch between inverter and panel totally isolate the inverter????

Would it be worth having a way to isolate the inverter from the grid so if the inverter failed you still would have power from the grid???

Ok then the question I have is if the system is set up main line in from meter to inverter then from inverter to the L1 and L2 lugs in the original panel do you put the clamps in L1 and L2 in the panel or where it atraches to the inverter or doesn't it matter???

Questions about the pass through options.. If I were to do that how does zero export work then would I even need the ct clamps or would the inverter recognize the flow as it's going through it...

Mines the same I own 100 plus feet of under groumd cable that has a circuit nreaker at meter to kill it

Im grid tie zero export is what Im looking for...

The link shows the 10000 at 1428 plus 196 for the smart meter vs 2989 for GSL and 290 in shipping by boat which is the best I could get from GSL... Im looking at the specs side by side and having trouble seeing where the extra 1200 or 1300 bucks difference is... I do like the GSL but not sure...

I guess the question im asking is why is the growatt less tha. Half of the GSL???
