I have (4) Eg4 Lifepower 4 48v batteries, adding another one soon. They work flawlessly right now on the USE settings on the 6500EX, I may be upgrading to the 6000XP soon. Is there any real benefit to the communications hub if everything is working fine? its only $108 if I will need it at...

Interesting, okay so for ~38 celsius ambient temperature outside, that would be roughly a 6-7% drop? Im sure the panels themselves are much hotter than ambient...

Where can I find information on the trade in? I dont see anything on their website. Either way $5600 + Tax seems like serious overkill. I really dont need more than 5kw output. I would be more inclined to switch over to the Victron multiplus II 5000 + MPPT RS set up. (~$4300). I love the full...

I didn't realize they were doing a trade-in, I will look into that. How long have they been running at those temps? thats much hotter than my room. Its not hard to do with the amount of heat these guys push out... Whats your idea of high ambient temps, and for how long? Summer is around 3-4...

Thanks guys, I do think it is a combination of things, they aren't as clean as they were new, and it is much hotter. The room doesn't seems to get over 95, but the case of the 6500EX (where the PV input is) gets up to 110-117.... Keeping the door open and adding a fan. It's too bad this...

I am curious as well. Does anyone have this yet? I see a few reviews on Youtube. I am curious how LOUD it is, compared to say the MPPT's in the 6500EX (currently sound like a jumbo jet in my closet)

Yes I've been leaving the closet door open so the AC can kind of trickle in there, its cooler in there for sure, but I doubt it goes below 85 degrees.. Im not sure if I can get it below 85 even with AC on full blast and fans blowing the cold air in but will try... I dont know that my laser temp...

They are less than 3 months old, and when they were brand new PV1 was pulling 3.43K (out of 3.6kw). Something has changed, it's definitely gotten hotter, and they are definitely a bit dirtier. So either something is being throttled, or they are losing efficiency at the panel because of the heat?

I can try disconnecting one string and see what happens tomorrow around noon. This is two strings, one going into each MPPT on the SINGLE 6500EX. I am in Baja California Sur, Mexico (near Cabo San Lucas). Do you have a link to a PV calculator I can try?

Hello! I couldn't find anything definitive searching, please let me know if this has been discussed at length somewhere else. The manual is not very clear, is it only amps it limits? is it only one limit from 18 > 9 at 85 degrees and that is it? or does it limit more at higher temperatures...

Any luck here? I am planning to do the same. My 3500 generator has a 22amp max. Works great on my victron inverter, I just set the max amps at 20, plug it in and it charges. I am hoping the 6500 will do the same. Let me know how it goes! Thanks
