AM assuming the battery manufacturer told you, you can wire the batteries in series??. what bms type is inside?. the avg lithium battery doesn't like being wired in series. until recently that jbd claimed to release a bms that has that capability, though they are yet to release the science...

Yes, observed this as well..had to replace a damaged bms due to my carelessness..and the replacement bms didn't have the soc % voltage isssh. i use same phone for all my jk bmses, so the issue is hardware based on the bms itself, not software.... there shud be a way to update the firmware on...

Strange case. Try setting the cell cutoff/lvd voltage to 3v x nos of cells and upper cutoff/hvd to 3.45v x nos of cells on ur inverter. Then set same on bms 2.9v and 3.5v. Set balance trigger delta to be 0.02v and start voltage 3.3v

My jk bms shipped with the temperature leads unplugged. I inadvertently forgot to plug them while building a pack, and just realized it after i have shipped the pack out . My question is, would the bms work ok without the temperature leads? I would be able to have access to the pack in a month...

Same issue here, how did you resolve this Edit; realized i was logged into the standalone daly balancer, and not the BMS. Corrected the error and was able to set the SoC ok

am i missing something?. why not buy the original cheap jk bms standalone ON switch?..less than 5 dollars

The cell temps stay a cool 32 deg C.hence why i suspect the issue may have to do with how i extended the P cable . I only added a 7inch extension using 35mm cable to the P cable and nothing to the B cable. Could this be an issue?

IMO, nothing special...just get a 200amps 4s daly or jk bms with Bluetooth and replace

Just a general jk bms question.. my bms didn't come with neg and pos cables. is there a limit to what length of cable, I can use on the bms? presently I have 35mm 7 inch and 9 inch for the p & b ports, I recall the OEM cables on some jk bms models are only 3 inch or so, hence why am wondering...

the daly bms inbuilt balancer is wimpy (100mA) and a bit glitchy..balance light on app barely stays on for more than 60secs...then it goes off. hard to tell if its actually balancing or not. wasn't moved around, so likely not loose connection. longterm, I intend to slap on a 1a daily...

Yes, but the other 13 cells are 3.45v, pack is full and inverter has throttled charging . delta between the cells is high as seen on the bms screenshot

how did you resolve this. am thinking daly is very specific on string cell numbers. a daily 8s bms wouldn't work very well on a 7s string config....unlike the jk, jbd etc

disconnect the bluetooth dongle for 60 secs..reinsert...select series - far right...then click on the bt dongle number that pops up,,,and you would be ok

but some people only charge to 3.45v. am not sure 3.5v balance trigger is a good idea for unbalanced pack

I believe you know your way around Daly, and turned on the Bluetooth via the small button on the Bluetooth dongle. swap known functioning BT dongle if issue persists

errrm is this a typo. if you are using 3000kwh per month, that averages to 100kwh per day. the combined energy of your battery and panels isn't near that. if your battery is full, or gets full early...then the panels would not have anywhere to dump their harvested energy, so it will throttle...

it appears you bought a non smart daly bms. fortunately now, daily has a 1amp smart active balancer, you can buy that , set it up properly and hook on the pack. it shud get and keep them balanced within a couple of days. jk has a 2amp balancer, while the mighty NEEY has a 4amp to 15amps...
