ANT BMS shows clearly wrong state of charge

I'm having the same issue. Keen to find a solution too

    24v BMS with a charge rating > 100 ?

Hey Barry , that's interesting. I want to charge up to around 75 amps with my ANT bms, did you have to change any parameters? or have you noticed any excess heat or issues when charging with the higher current? I'm currently limiting the output from my victron SCC to 50amps so as to not exceed...

    Powland? 3.5kw 24v thoughts?

Hey guys thinking of upgrading my 2400w to this 3500w powland. Anyone used one of these? Being used on a lifepo4 bank. Cheers!

    EVE 280Ah Lifepo4

I Agree, something is amiss here. 3000 newtons is an incredible amount of force. I would absolutely never compress my cells to that spec.

Any third-party software available for MPP solar systems?

Hey Bud, Any luck with getting Watchpower to work on the Mac? I'm having the same connection issue.

Schematic Check / Advice Please - Tiny Home

Hi Steve, yes. Thanks. I actually forgot to put the shunt in. I have a victron smartshunt, it's connects directly to the SCC to help adjust the charging algorithm. It also has a temp sensor.

What do you think?...7200Wh solar / DIY lifepo4 setup

Cells are from Amy from xuba. Though they're taking forever to get here. They're stuck in customs I think

What do you think?...7200Wh solar / DIY lifepo4 setup

Yep, have read that re. Low voltage disconnect. Is why I mentioned to have it only on the ELV setup (24v, 12v etc). The victron has a better cutoff voltage than my bms, and reconnecting is automatic. I'm more comfortable with Victron reliability than the bms. going to use the mpp solar 2400w...

Sorry my bad, your mppt can take 100v

What do you think?...7200Wh solar / DIY lifepo4 setup

Also, your panels are hooked up in series, which totals 48v, that'll cook your system.

What do you think?...7200Wh solar / DIY lifepo4 setup

Hey bud, it's a good idea getting the larger batteries, they're good value. Your calculations are based on 100% depletion. When you probably shouldn't go past 85% if you want decent longevity, going too low on the lifepo4 is a death sentence. This is why it's important to use the victron battery...

What do you think?...7200Wh solar / DIY lifepo4 setup

Hey bud. I'm also building an off grid setup in country Victoria, upper yarra. And I'm using similar 280ah Lifepo4 batteries in an 8S configuration. As previously mentioned, your solar power is unfortunately woefully underpowered for that size bank. As a comparison, I'm using 6x 370w panels...

    Victron Solar Calculator Upselling?

True, The prices have actually gone down in Australia since posting this, they were for a while around $200 more expensive, now they're only $80 more. This change tips the scales in favour of 150/85.

    Victron Solar Calculator Upselling?

Hey guys. We have some solar panels ( 400w SERAPHIM 144 Cell ) And when using the Victron Solar Calculator, it doesn't suggest the 100/50 SCC. It goest straight for the more expensive 150/45. I've attached a screen grab of the specific specs we input, just wondering if I'm missing something or...

How to reset daly bms after low voltage cut off

Okey. That one looks good, but unfortunately I need at least 150A 24v 8s. It's a real challenge to find the right bms.

How to reset daly bms after low voltage cut off

Right. Though I would imagine the power coming from the solar array / charge controller, would be more than enough for the bms to Kickstart?

Tiny Home System 24v - Parts List Checking Advice please

OK, I think I've worked out a solution , I'm going to use a Victron BP-220 between the Battery/BMS and the Inverter/24v ELV system. That way it automatically disengage power at 21v, Then engage at 24V.

How to reset daly bms after low voltage cut off

HI , How'd you go with this one. Does Your BMS actually not reconnect after a low voltage cutoff? I find it strange that it doesn't do that

No Victorian Hi-Country, Australia. Though The Tiny is surrounded by a forest, and misses out on a considerable amount of sun because of this.

Tiny Home System 24v - Parts List Checking Advice please

OKey thanks for the info, Did you consider the Daly BMS, I think I'm happy with it's basic feature set. My only concern is the low voltage disconnect from the Giandel Low Voltage shutdown, which is set to 19v (2.375). From my understanding the Daly BMS will "Over discharge release voltage" at...

Tiny Home System 24v - Parts List Checking Advice please

Hi, Thanks, yep I know it's overkill, but The position of the Tiny is such that in winter it only gets 2hrs of direct light a day. Also the location has 1.5M average rainfall Per year, so plenty of cloudy days. Also I want to plan ahead for future expansion of the system

Tiny Home System 24v - Parts List Checking Advice please

Can I ask few few questions? 1.What BMS you used? 2.Why do you have both the Battgo and BMV-712 3. Were you worries about the low voltage cutoff from the Giandel ? is it too low for Lifepo4? Cheers!
