Im looking to buy but dont want to buy junk and waste $$

Since your time is short, you really need to decide if you want a DIY system or just want to buy a portable solar generator? What exactly do you want to power when your power goes out (lights, phone chargers, tv, etc..?); how many hours does it usually take for your power to get restored? Are...

Help needed for my first mini system!

I was planning on using solar panels to charge the batteries, I didn't know I needed a separate charger also. My husband bought me 2 more 100W panels for Valentine's Day so I have 6 - 100W panels now and 1 portable 100W panel. I plan on building my system up slowly adding to it a little at a time.

Help needed for my first mini system!

I decided to buy 2 12v 100ah batteries so I will make the system 24v which should still be safe for me to start with according to Will Prowse video. Now I need to find a all in one 24v controller so I don't have to buy inverter and controller again

I was looking through my husbands tool drawer and I see that we already have this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B153NFZR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 would I be able to use this one to trip the breaker before the battery BMS kicks in?

Help needed for my first mini system!

Yes I was referring to an all-in-one. I was thinking about a PowMr 3000k/2400W 24V system and also a EG4 6500 for 48V system once I learn more.

Help needed for my first mini system!

This is what I was thinking about, using a fuse to limit the inverter to my 12v capacity. 1000-1200W should be more than enough for my first system. I have an Ecoflow Delta mini for emergency outages and it was able to power my needs for the gazebo so I figured I would try to build my own...

Help needed for my first mini system!

Ok, I may just buy a 24v Hybrid SCC. I was just using this system to get familiar with connecting wires and seeing how solar power would work at my location. I would only use the 12v system to power a fan, 32" TV and 12w light all of which would on my patio under me gazebo for the summer. I...

Help needed for my first mini system!

Hello, I am completely new to solar energy systems but I have watched YouTube videos and have been inspired to build my first solar system. It is going to be a small system for now until I feel more confident in my ability and knowledge to upgrade to a 48V system to supplement my electric...

What's the reason behind using 240V inverters with transformers when they have split phase ones?

Thank you, basically I just need 120v right now so I was thinking about the 240v inverter with transformer to make 120v because the inverter that I like doesn't have a 120v version.

What's the reason behind using 240V inverters with transformers when they have split phase ones?

I can't find the YT video now but here is another link to a review with someone doing the same thing with this controller because the 110v version is not available...

What's the reason behind using 240V inverters with transformers when they have split phase ones?

Ok I am completely new to this and trying to learn what is correct and safe but also the least expensive. With that being said, I saw a YT video where someone had a 240v LV6548 and said he used a stepdown transformer to use his system as a one phase 110v system. Would this be acceptable as a...

    Is this a good deal?

Wow I didn't know SAntan Solar had a location in GA, that's great. I looked at them before but the freight expense scared me. Thanks so much for all the help you all have given me. It will really safe me so much money.

    Is this a good deal?

Thank you so much for your help. Seems like those 140W panels aren't really a good deal for me. I am better off buying 100W 18.7v panels for $99 because I would be able to have 4s4p for a total of 16 panels and 1600W. This option is better and more expandable.

    Is this a good deal?

Hello All, I am a beginner and just getting started trying to build a small but expandable solar system. Someone I know is selling 140W 65V used solar panels for $50 each. The panels are rigid, mono in Georgia. I have a 12v 100ah lifepo4 battery and a 100v/80A mppt controller, 3000w pure sine...
