Looking for BMS that support series connection for high voltage battery setup

Not to mention their wrongly usage of units. There is no such thing as a Kwh. Heck even on the Deye display it is wrong. (KW).

Looking for BMS that support series connection for high voltage battery setup

You should rebuild the battery, and use Orion. Orion has a fully programmable CAN, and it does balance the pack. It is (one of) the best BMS you can buy for HV systems. And it can talk to Deye / Sol-Ark / Sunsynk and perhaps Megarevo. I use an OrionBMS2 for a 96S Lithium configuration (Tesla...

Need help / info about CAN protocol from HV battery systems which communicate with Deye HV inverters.

I got this from Deye support / Service upon repeatedly request.

Need help / info about CAN protocol from HV battery systems which communicate with Deye HV inverters.

Correct. V-mode is a bit limited due to the voltage losses over the cable. If the BMS communicates it tells the correct voltage off the pack, and thus it enables potentially more capacity. This works at the moment, but i need to iron out some wrinkles. In Lithium mode the Orion tells the Deye...

Need help / info about CAN protocol from HV battery systems which communicate with Deye HV inverters.

Here you go... I got this from Deye. Let me know if you find something useful. What i need / want to know is: Comms: Little Endian or Big Endian? How does the Deye recognize an approved battery. How to emulate an approved battery. I use an OrionBMS2 which has a fully programmable CAN system...

Need help / info about CAN protocol from HV battery systems which communicate with Deye HV inverters.

Thanks for posting. This is indeed the protocol from Deye / Sol-Ark, but only for the LV inverters. The HV series uses a different set of Id's

Need help / info about CAN protocol from HV battery systems which communicate with Deye HV inverters.

The Id-set in the Victron / Pylon dataset is for LV batteries. The HV batteries are using a complete other Id dataset.

Looking for BMS that support series connection for high voltage battery setup

I've seen this. Problem is that the default profile in the Orion is for LV batteries. HV has a complete other Id-set. I am currenly working with Ewert to get this clear.

Looking for BMS that support series connection for high voltage battery setup

True, but comms adds an extra layer of security, and also the ability to read the battery data from the inverter for use in other devices like eGauge, SA, of HA. I use the Voltage mode to at the moment, but i really want the comms up and running. I am currently very busy getting this done. (Deye...

Need help / info about CAN protocol from HV battery systems which communicate with Deye HV inverters.

EDIT / UPDATE: As per May-29, i managed to get this working. Thanks for everyone who looked into this. I am building an hybrid off-grid system with a Deye (Sol-Ark / Sunsink) and a Tesla model 3 battery connected with an OrionBMS2. The system runs. Like a baby. But i can't get the OrionBMS2...

    High Voltage Inverter

My Deye inverter does 400VDC input, and 400VAC output. (3 phase, EU). ;-) Having that said, it does also output 150 - 700VDC @MAX 20kW for a battery.

Near Real Time Sol-Ark 12K Monitoring

Hi, I was stumbling on you post using an eGauge communicating with the Sol-Ark. I have a Deye and eGauge, and lokking for a way to communicate using a modbusRTU to modbusTCP converter. I am puzzaled how to configure. Would you care to send me your eGauge address, so i can look into your...

Using Tesla model 3 or Y batteries for solar backup

I am currently working on a LR model 3 pack. You need to know a few things: The entire LR pack has 4 modules total (2 x 25S + 2 x 23S) summed up 46P96S (96 bricks), with a nice capacity of 78kWh. BMS: for 96S you can use OrionBMS, or Batrium. The Tesla BMS on the modules is useless. (Model S...
