4s balancer on 8s pack

I'm in a place where it's hard to get stuff delivered. I know these things are cheap but it's a month delivery time here.

I have three 4s balancers left over from a previous project, and an 8s pack that needs a balancer.

Is there a way I can use the 4s balancers?

Configured
1234 and 5678
Or 1234, 3456, and 5678
Or 1357 (will they work at double voltage)
Or 1357 and 2468

Any thoughts?

Option B is best.
A would work somewhat and the two sections could remain out of balance.
C & D probably not. Most are not rated to 7 volt cells.
