Any recomendations for a cheap dc buck converter that is idiot proof?

Im an idiot and I cant keep buck converters alive for more than a day if they have no protections built in.

Killed so many i dunno how many but last one I killed today. It had no back flow protection which killed it i guess when i connected output before input.

Any recommendations for somewhat cheap Chinese buck converters that has all the bells and whistles to make it idiot friendly?

Reveres polarity protections
Over temperature protection
back flow protection
Input negative isolated from output negative

an isdt Q8 max is essentially a buck boost converter to handle charging a battery...
it can take in anything from 10-31V and put out anything from 2-30v with current limiting.
it is pretty simple with an easy to understand menu.

I have no idea what you consider "cheap" but it is fairly idiot proof with lots of bells and whistles????
