Attached are Will Prowse's pictures of how he wired his 4 batteries together and then to his two 6000xp inverters. I will eventually have four batteries also and I'm trying to figure out the best way to wire them. I don't quite understand what he has going on here and I don't think I can recreate it if I end up with 4 Lifepower batteries because of the size of the battery lugs. I also don't see a communication cable being used. I already purchased bus bars from Signature Solar (see picture). Is it better for me to run 4 cables from the inverters to the larger bus bars and then on to the batteries? Or run the 4 cables to the smaller combiner bus bars (see picture) then to the longer bus bars and then to the batteries. What cable sizes depending on the configuration?

What inverter are you using and what batteries? If you're using the same equipment in Will's photos then there are a variety of ways you can hook this up.

I would suggest connecting each battery directly to the bus bar then if you have two inverters run two sets of cables from the bus bar, one to each inverter.

For a single inverter like this. Keep all the + & - conductors from batteries to bus bar the same lenght.
