Shopsolar is selling kits with these 2 components, but they don't seem to be compatible (bat com failure stops everything). These batteries have no com port to plug in the cable supplied with the inverter. Wondering if there is something in the inverter settings that creates a workaround or emulates a battery brand that the inverter's bms recognizes. Waiting for tech support response from both Evo and Shopsolar, but thought I'd reach out to the mind hive for suggestions (NB the question of "why would SS sell a kit with incompatible components or at least have the workaround solution at their fingertips and documented in their "custom wiring schematics and commissioning instructions"!!??" is obvious, but lets save that for a different thread)

Set the battery type to lead acid and set the voltages according to the battery manufacturer and use voltages and not soc in your settings

Unfortunately, it appears that closed-loop communication isn't possible with the Battery Evo Kong Elite batteries. You can set the 18kpv to lead acid mode, which will allow it to charge based on voltage rather than SOC %.
