powerjack inverter testing

This guy is really trying hard to improve powerjack inverters by reworking them, so that deserves praise, but even so clips like this show that they are non-too-flash. Starts playing 10mins 30 secs in where you can see the AC waveform going whacky under approx 80% load.

Crikey, at 20 mins he puts it under essentially a full tilt resistive load (ie power factor essentially 1, ideal for an inverter), a heater, and it started smoking at 1300 watts.

I'd always considered all of this cheap stuff to really have half its label rating but that powerjack inverter really only has 1/3 of its rating which is crook even for cheap stuff.

Good job on the guy doing that test and being honest about the stuff. It's rare you see a person selling and supporting things openly admitting their problems.
