question on BMS

Hello not sure if this his been answered or not.
I'm looking at build a lifepo4 battery pack. I have google but can't find a answer.

I'm trying to find the answer for what size BMS to use.
If I go with say 4x50ah cells can I use 100ah bms?

would that mean I would only get half the total battery aka 100ah or 50ah.

any help would be great

The BMS will be rated in amps, the maximum charge and discharge current its designed for.
The specification for your cells will indicate the recommended maximum charge and discharge currents. Also you need to consider what current your loads will take.
It's useful to have a higher current rated BMS than you a actually need for increased reliability.

A BMS with Bluetooth to connect to a phone app is useful .
