I have 2 BB already and I don't want to mix batteries. Had I started with Valence I'd buy two more of Valence batteries.

I bought these used, the guy I got them from claimed less than 300 cycle count, I don't have the means to test that.

I am new so here comes a question. I have not heard of a Valence battery. Is this a battery that is as good as or maybe I should say equal to a Battle Born?
I live in Birmingham which is not too far away I would have to check the distance

They make batteries for medical equipment. Will did a review on some used ones.

Valence is a division of LithiumWerks. They are used in much more than just medical equipment and come in many voltages. They don't sell to or much care about the average consumer. They are quite expensive when new and you are only likely to find them used. In my opinion they are the best of the "drop in" 12v replacements but, there is no support. You have to be willing to do a bit of research and baby sitting.

Well I guess I will forget about that for now. I don't know enough about batteries at least for now. I still am in a just buy a battery and hook it up. Not a good baby sitter

I am just wondering what baby sitting you have to do with a Valence Battery. If you plug it up and let it charge what else is there to do. If any balancing has to be done won't the PWM or MPPT handle it?

PWM or MPPT are just types of solar charge controllers that charge at your preset voltage they don't balance a Lifepo4 battery the "bms" that is in the "drop in" does the balancing or "protection" of the cells of the battery.

I may have said that wrong. More like, since there isn't a lot of good info on these particular batteries, getting you system up and behaving properly. After that I don't see that it will take any more than any other system.
