If you already have the 24v inverter, it is fine to use 24v 8S bms on them. What are your loads? Would a 48v inverter be a benefit?

Make sure you buy a BMS that is 8-16(some up to 24) capable so you can reuse the BMS.

Build the 2-24vDC now (run in parallel) and rebuild it into a 48v one if needed in the future. You will have access to the cells easier...
