LV6548 and SOK server rack battery communication warning 61

Has anyone tried the solution given on YouTube by Watts24/7 where they get connection right out of the box without changing protocol? Pins 1&2 to 3 & 5 if I remember correctly. Sure would like to find a solution, CC is of no help so far.

My Settings for MPP Solar PIP-2024LV-MK 24V System

The fans come on as soon as you power up the unit and also, I believe, when the inverter is not on but you are charging with either AC or PV. I have looked at the idle rate but cannot swear to the exact number as I don't usually concern myself with that. I believe it is just a few watts. I wish...

My Settings for MPP Solar PIP-2024LV-MK 24V System

I don't think the MPP is all that accurate, but it seems it certainly would not be reading correctly on your very first charge. I guess you could use a power supply and just let the BMS shut the battery down, but a good quality peak charger seems the best bet to me and then put them in parallel...

My Settings for MPP Solar PIP-2024LV-MK 24V System

I was using a 12ga extension cord of about 10' in length when this happened. As I stated previously, check your MPP if you choose to charge at say, 40A, and touch the AC connection to see if it's hot or even warm. I have, and it is. In fact the cord going into my MPP 2424LV is 10ga which held up...

My Settings for MPP Solar PIP-2024LV-MK 24V System

It is interesting, and I think important information. But I would not be hasty to go to 60A because I did one day when I was in a rush to top off my batteries before going boondocking and I wound up with melted plugs. In fact, even when I bump my MPP 2424LV up to charge at 30A the plug gets a...

My Settings for MPP Solar PIP-2024LV-MK 24V System

I would like to know any thoughts on Program 01 where load priorities are set. I am going to double check tomorrow, but I think I messed with this some time back and did not get the response I wanted. My situation is that I like to run my Honda 2200i on eco mode for fuel efficiency and because...

My Settings for MPP Solar PIP-2024LV-MK 24V System

I was contemplating my navel yesterday while out camping and was thinking on this very subject. I thought "How is it that my Honda 2200i can charge my batteries at 30 amps when it is only rated for 10 or 15." And I reached your same conclusion. If you are charging at 30 amps at say 30 volts...

Mixing old and new LiFePo4 in system?

Is that a statement or a question? Thanks for your helpful reply?

Mixing old and new LiFePo4 in system?

I currently have a 24v system with 4 LiFePo4 batteries in a 2s2p configuration. I am thinking of getting a 48v system. I would also like to get 4 more batteries for a 4s2p configuration. My current batteries are a bit shy of a year old with moderate use. If I get the same brand/model of...

Panels in series/parallel? Does each side need to be balanced?

I have the MPP 2424LV with the MPPT controller. The max PV open circuit voltage is 145Vdc, max PV charge is 80Vdc and the max charge current is 140A. Even with only 6 100 watt panels (Voc=21.6, Vmp=17.9, Imp=5.72A) in series, I believe the 2424LV has safeguards against the "magic smoke". LOL...

Panels in series/parallel? Does each side need to be balanced?

Okay, thanks for all the great answers! I've decided to go with the 3S2P configuration as that will give me more power as I travel to my destination and also give me a higher voltage which I understand helps me to deploy at a greater distance without using huge cable (plus I won't have to buy...

Panels in series/parallel? Does each side need to be balanced?

No problems, just trying to get an idea of how I can utilize the panels. My idea was to have 2 panels on my vehicle and then to be able to deploy the other 4 wherever the best exposure was. So now I know that I need to divide them 3S (x2P), perhaps you can answer another question I have come up...

Panels in series/parallel? Does each side need to be balanced?

Thanks for the responses. What little I do know so far on this subject told me that would likely be the answer. I was just wondering about it and as I did my research all I could find were examples of odd numbers, so I figured this would be the place for a quick and easy answer, and so it was...

Panels in series/parallel? Does each side need to be balanced?

Using 6 100 watt panels, all exactly the same, can I hook 2 panels in series, then in parallel with 4 panels in series or will that give me less performance than 3+3? I'm familiar with series/parallel, but I always see each side with equal number of panels. Thanks for any insights.

Do you need to increase charge amps when adding more batteries?

Okay, thanks for all the great replies. I have my batteries in series and I prefer to charge conservatively to prolong battery life so I believe I will just continue to charge at the same (low) rate. If I get in a situation where I am not getting enough charging then I will up my amps. But as I...
