I have a doubt about the surge wattage, lets say I have 3 static refrigerators and they all happen every now and then to start at the same time, however my inverter is of 1200W and surge of 2400w, the 3 refrigerators surge at the same time need more than 2400w but continous they are within the...
Hi MichaelK
Thanks for your reply, sorry for the shabby presentation, let me try to present the info better, just the energy consumption first:
If the refrigator seems low its one without freezer, this is the energy label:
There is a petrol power generator on site that I want to use...
By chance I found a small provider that has 5 of this in stock https://rollsbattery.com/battery/6-fs-gc/ but I am a little disappointed at the life cycle at 50% discharge of about 1500, he is asking 250€ each.
When we wired the mcb as the sign shοw, that is crossed positive from left to right and neg. from right to left the mcb would not switch the panels off, it only worked when we installed it as its shown in the picture. The voc of the panel as per the manual, never tested is 48V. The scc is...
Ok, but I am thinking to do that I would need a charger that can adjust it, as I am trying to source locally that means almost sure Victron, I will have a look at the options but leaving the generator on for 3 hours often is something I dont want to do, although here we havent seen more than 3...
I spoke to two persons, one battery vendor and one pv installer, both mentioned something I dont fully understand, the fridge that I am intending to use is a static one that has a compressor that starts and stops, from the kill a watt measurments that I made the surge power is about 12 times the...
Today my expectation of building an upgradable system suffered a wake up call of sorts, a local expert told me that adding batteries to an existing batery bank after 6 months will cause the older batteries to behave like a resistance and pose a fire hazard, is this correct?
Hi, I am installing a 12V system for a small shed with one 410W panel, a 1000W giandel inverter, one 12v 100ah SOK lifepo4 battery with a SOK shunt battery monitor and a 40A epever Scc, I have seen Wills video (DIY 400 Watt) and read his book but I still have some doubts.
1.- Since I dont have...
Great I was watching this video that said that equalization should be turned off and thought that I had damaged the battery by leaving it at 120m. Is the boost the same as float with ankther name?
I want to ask a question that might seem silly but anyhow here it goes : a stand alone inverter like the Giandel 1200 W 24V, does it use all the time the battery to power the appliances or its also using the panels input directly to power the appliances?
So as it follows during the night you cannot exceed the battery Whs but during the day its theoretically possible (with the corresponding sollar array) to actually consume many times the battery power size?
I have reached the conclusion that the all in one solution is not for me, its too expensive. I have found an inverter that is ok for my needs its the Giandel Inverter 24V to 230V Pure Sine Wave 1200W Voltage Converter 24V PS-1200JCR/24V at about 200Eur, however its out of stock, could anyone...
I have not tested with voltmeter, at the moment is night time here, if the mcb does not work as we wired it it would mean that we are shorting the panel connecting the pos with the neg. but note that actually the battery is charging very fast so I dont think is generating only 24W.
Hi, I have a 410W panel with a 40A mppt epever scc a 12v 100ah sok battery and a giandel 1000w 12 V inverter, but after the battery fills the inverter starts the alzrm and resets and after about 10m it does it again and again. I think the probelm is that there is too much sun here the scc is...
So it does not matter that the first Scc is one that is incorporated in the all in one inverter? I could get first a Growatt inverter with the Scc and afterwards I could add an Epever Scc?
After about a month of waiting it seems that Amazon will not ge able to deliver, locally I have 2 options, both are DC, MCBs one 33A and one 60A, they have to be connected to both negative and positive, which one shoul I install?
This is such a relief, its the ideal setup then because the AIO inverters come with large inverters but small Sccs, for example 24V. 3k inverter with 60A Scc, you are restricted to about 1500W of Solar array, but with such an array is difficult to use the 3000w potential of the inverter.
And what happens if I will be using the acid batteries at the time of charging? The fridge alone uses 31.25 Wh per hour so for 3 hours abour 94Wh it might extend the charging time time a 15%, is it ok to do that?
I have one question regarding the Spreadsheet, it seems that is not taking in to consideration any inefficiencies of the solar panels, is this something we need to add our selves?
Hello, budget constrains are driving me away from Lithium batteries, could you recomend a good AGM, I need 2 12v 100ah or one 24V 100ah preferable a company that delivers to EU.
I have allready emailed VMax.
I am tabulating the quotes I got by the price of Wh taking in account the Rech. Cycles at 50% DoD and I see no real surprises except one, I got a quote for a flooded Trojan 27TMH that is 162eur, I dont see the 50% DoD on the specs but if its around 1400 this is a good price, I am correct or...
