Signature Solar has made this right in a very timely manner.(y)
Apparently, Silfab said that this was a pallet of quarantined products that got accidentally loaded onto the container that was shipped out. :fp2
Each flex beam is .073in wide x .125in thick. .073in x .125in = .00913in^2. There are 9 of them. .00913in^2 x 9 = .0821in^2.
1/0 has a solid diameter of .325in. Divide that by two gives a radius of .163in. Square that and multiply by pie gives us .0830in^2.
Each flex beam is flexing the same...
I need all this flexibility because the thermal transfer pads between my cells and heatsinks are fairly thick and I expected movement over time with vibration and constant compression force.
I was able to cut all eight without loosing an endmill.
These busbars make these 60AH cells look tiny:
Just started putting up this 10kW Iron Ridge ground mount. March snow gives me a good shadow melt line here😎:
Shouldn't the shadow have some movement??
Slow progress. BMS leads and heating/cooling hardware pretty much all mounted. Power resistors bring up the pack temp quick with about 600W of heat.
Single point (set screw) compression with Belleville spring under round thrust pad to indicate compression:
BMS mounted. AMXL Fuse/holder is...
Anyone know how important the panel edge seal is for long term integrity? Am I right in thinking that the back-sheet seal to the glass is the most important part?
I think it would depend on the setup. In my case the new cells are very much concave in the middle of the side. In order to transfer heat to heatsinks, I have to use .070in thick thermal transfer sheet. Under constant cell compression via my setup, I expect this thermal transfer sheet to yield...
Are you sure you are isolating voltage drop across your wiring and measuring directly on cell terminal? Either way, 100-150mV slump for a .4C test on the Frey 100Ah cell doesn't seem bad to me. According to the EVE 280 charts posted by RCinFLA, a similar .4C test would slump around 70-80mV.
In...
For sure, use what you got though right? Cycle time is about 14min, but if optimized and higher spindle speed(machine only has 6000rpm) I could see that it down to 4-5 mins. I only have to make 8.

I also got the programmer for custom charge profiles...
Thank you. It has been long journey.
I will definitely post my load tests here.
I expect C rates up to 3C. This will be powering a walk behind tractor using a 3 phase induction motor through a Curtis controller. HPEVs AC-9...
Assuming the remainder of the energy went into internal heating,
60 Ah cell design capacity - 57 Ah measured capacity = 3 Ah
3 Ah x 2.9V = 8.7 Wh per cell
8.7 Wh / .4 h test duration = 22 W internal heating per cell
This seems low to me, given the change in cell temp with 40 deg air being...
I just opened and installed a pallet of these:

No shipping damage, but other issues/inconsistencies:
Every single panel has been re-labeled...
Thanks for the data. That is interesting.
I didn't realize this, do you you know which way the accordion folds go? I haven't been able to find any internal pics. This could explain the cans of the cells being concave. Are yours concave too?
Interesting. Thank you for the explanation.
When I look at this chart, it looks more like this: from 0 deg C to 25 deg C, decrease of internal resistance by about 110%. From 25 deg C to 50 deg C, decrease of internal resistance by about 40%. Also the temp conversion for 50 deg C line is...
