Hello I am using a 300 watt inverter, I am sure it would be considered small to most of the people here that are running >5000 watt systems. However even with such a low rating, I am getting sparks when I connect it to the battery.
I did some searching and it looks like Will says you should...
I read somewhere here that inverter/chargers are the way to go and cheaper than buying them separately, but I've found it to be the opposite.
The cheapest ones I can find are like $400, while you can get a charger for $50 and inverter for $100.
Am I just not searching correctly, or is it only...
Hello I am looking for a 12v 50ah lifepo4 battery and there are so many different brands on amazon, it makes it hard to decide which one to get.
I've looked at some of Will's youtube videos but I don't even see most of the brands being available and the ones that are seem to have mixed reviews...
I heard that most lifepo4 batteries will last much longer if not charged above 80% and not discharged below 20%. Is there a system or tool to do this automatically instead of manually shutting off the charger or inverter when these thresholds are reached?
Just wondering how many amps these things can handle. I got a 10 AWG wire with an SAE connector at the end, and I just realized it isn't mentioned anywhere how many amps they could handle. They look quite thin compared to the wire so I'm guessing the amp rating is not as good.
Hello I am starting off with a very simple system right now without a solar panel. It is just a standard 12v battery and 300 watt 120v inverter.
What I want to know is how to properly ground the system. Do I connect the ground wire from the AC inverter and connect it to the negative terminal...
