    Yes it's $.02 to feed it back to the grid. Makes little sense to do so given the price and the other restrictions the utility company would like to place on the proposed system. Gotta store it instead.

    True, but like I said you can also use it to go from A to B and haul stuff. The vehicle has a few uses besides backup, but backup and/or storage is my main concern for purchasing. I can't go with powerwalls since it relies on grid tie. My utility company will only allow off grid or net zero...

    Thanks redalerdt! Yes, Tim is actually who I spoke with and told me not to bother back feeding. His resume says he's been in the solar world for sometime yet didn't offer anything of value, oh well. We have 13 acres and no HOA, itll be all us when we do it.

    Hello fellow Tennessee folks! I just joined this forum today after MTE (Middle TN Electric) pretty much gave me the cold shoulder for my initial research. Im currently building (just broke ground) in an MTE area and emailed them to ask what I should do now to make solar installation easier...
