My $641 dollars AC200P just arrived. State of charge was 87% on arrival. I charged it up a bit, and this first thing I plugged in was a chrome book. Seems to be working perfectly.
It was double boxed, and shipped to my house in 3 business days. The unit looks basically brand new, no finger...
The EB70 is the same price as the Jackery 500, and it blows it out of the water.
200 more watts of power, LFP for 5X the cycles and 2X the solar charging.
I just bought a Bluetti AC200P Refurb for $600. There is no better product at that price. And quite by accident it doesn't have 30 amp, so no danger to me. :)
We value your honesty and integrity. You've demonstrated it time and time again. There's no reason to be courageous if the unit isn't a...
I know. It would be nice to pick up a B230 battery for cheap and an AC300 in a year if those units ever appear as refurbs.
If this unit turns out to work perfectly, I can probably craigslist it for at least $600 bucks if I want to replace it.
Bluetti is a tiny. They are a tiny company in a tiny market. Portable solar generators are not some kind of huge marketplace where people are spending billions of dollars.
Jesus, it wasn't too long ago that Bluetti was launching their products on Indiegogo. Major corporations don't launch their...
I'm a complete newbie to DIY Solar. I recently bought an Electric Vehicle.
I have this crazy idea of wheeling a 1000W solar array out of my two car garage every day to charge my car. I would mount the panels to some type of frame with simple wheels. Who knows, with real efficient panels I...
Thank you for the link, but the big panels are just too big for my purpose. My suitcases will fold down to be 26 inches wide. I can store a 26 inch item on the top of a shelf in my garage, or alongside the shelf. The big panels are usually 40 inches or more wide. I can't easily store them. I...
Done deal.
Growatt 3000: $790
EG4 48v 5kwh battery: $1500
Wiring: $100
Plywood and other stuff: $50
More power than the Bluetti AC200 Max. Twice the storage of the Bluetti AC300 with single battery.
Less price.
Easily upgrade-able.
Much more easily repairable.
They have a rack mounted 48V 50AH battery for $700.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/403202111489?hash=item5de0b7f801:g:x38AAOSwBAVhVzZe
Aside from the EG4 100AH for $1500, this has to be the cheapest battery on the market, right?
I just don't see any reviews of this model, so it seems like a real...
The design team that would even consider allowing a piece of potentially life critical equipment to leave the factory looking like that POS should be enshrined in the Hall of Fame for Bonehead Design.
They shot their product right in the ass.
Geez, it's not a freaking gaming computer for a 13...
2 suitcases. So 4 panels.
MPPT. I bought a refurbed AC200P for $600.
Sunny southern Colorado. Rarely a cloud in the sky.
All in series.
I am about 6.5 feet tall, so I can handle this big panels.
I might get 2 more panels for the other input connection on the AC200P.
This expression "toy solar" is meaningless and degrading to a fair amount of the solar market.
The RV and Van communities whose lives depend on small scale solar installs and who have benefited from Will's tutorials are not using "toy" systems.
Will has talked about in his videos that he is...
Charging my car with $600 AC200P. Maybe I can get like 15 miles per day using the solar from this unit. I'll upgrade the setup if this is working.
As Will Prowse would say:
"It actually works!"
AC200P handles 35 to 150v. These panels are 25v.
These things are cheap to build. A solar suitcase should just be two panels, a couple hinges and maybe some PVC pipe or Aluminum legs.
My suitcases will weigh 45 or 50 pounds. If I don't tilt them very high, I'm not sure the wind could blow...
This guy has a fun build. It could be simplified without the breaker box and his DIY battery.
It's awesome the obvious pride that he takes in his creation:
There were complaints that the AC200Ps minimum of 35V charging prevented it from being charged by a single solar panel. So they changed the charging rate of the AC200Max to 10-145.
There are no extensive reviews of these panels online. I took a gamble on them because I should be able to return them to Home Depot.
I'll post a review soon. I have 4 of those on order. At $154 they are cheaper than any new 200 watt solar panel for sale online that I can find.
I had to pay...
He wisely didn't buy property in the Florida Keys, where many of the major roads will be flooded by 2025.
My suggestion to people who don't believe in Global Warming is to move to the Florida Keys. You will find cheap land alongside these roads that will be flooded in less than 5 years...
Yes, their product fulfillment on their previous indiegogo campaigns seems to be rubbish.
How in the hell can they promise late October and early December fulfillment when they haven't started mass production (just as the CEO said in his latest YouTube video)? Shipping containers are piled up...
If you buy an All in One then you want to buy all of your panels at once, or ensure that you can buy identical panels at some point in the future. Your 530w panels is just a fraction of the total solar input, and not enough to charge a 400ah 24v battery.
I think the Growatt 3000w is superior to...
I might be stupid for buying one but I just did.
$641 including taxes and shipping.
I'm not sure why they would offer 3 different exchanges on this deal. Maybe they have low confidence in these units and expect them to be exchanged frequently in replace of offering a refund?
But no one else on the market comes close to Eg4. Maybe some bargain basement used models from bigbattery. But we all have heard the bigbattery quality stories.
This one from Harbor Freight will work nicely. It comes with mounting backets where I could attach the super superstructure for the panels.

Four of these bifacials...
There appear to be 192 of these cells to create a 2096 wh battery.
Has anyone seen these (supposedly automotive) cells before?
Do you think they developed their own BMS? You can see the BMS in a screenshot there.
I just built a similar setup. My panels haven't arrived yet so I don't have any statistics on the solar. I'm going to charge my electric car (and maybe set up a bitcoin machine in my garage).
I might be able to save $3 to $5 dollars in gas based upon the 4 to 5 kWhs per day I can collect here...
That's 7 to 14 Kwh of total daily power drawn from the panels. Maybe my math is off. I didn't seriously study that calculation, and I'm a solar newbie.
I can park wherever I want in my driveway. I just can't park on the street. :)
500 lbs? How did you arrive at that?
A 200 watt mono panel...
I haven't had time to construct the solar suitcases, so I've just been experimenting over the past few days, and I've been able to charge my car via the AC200P, which is a $600 refurb.
With four of these $150 home depot 215 watt solar panels I can just barely get the minimum 700w that I need...
I looked into the used panels. I didn't like them. I want the the return policy on the new panels combined with the federal tax credit. I'm paying .50 cents per watt on new panels after the federal tax credit. That's fine.
