I would keep a lookout on ebay for a high quality power supply like a server unit, i have two HP server power supplies hacked into a 24v 65 amp PSU i use for power for the battery charger when i am away from the bench. I have a great 24 v power supply used for CCTV mounted on my bench. If you...
Thanks. I get no voltage from the relay wires coming from the BMS. There are a lot of unused wires in the extra connector where the relay leads are. Can you share how you wired it if you have this BMS? :) I can post the leads that are not wired later if that helps.
I wanted to have the two phase output in case I needed to run my irrigation well for water in an emergency (240). And it makes the installation easier, I am just wiring the two phases into a sub-panel so if I need a 240 line, I can just add the breaker and wire in easily. Even though they...
The precharge circuit would be used to charge the capacitors in the inverter, it does need a resistive load to prevent a too fast inrush of current, or a resistor. Once the capacitors are charged, power is turned on to the inverter. After that the precharge circuit should be switched off. The...
I am doing the exact same thing at the moment. I am not super familiar with Victron gear so I hope this isn't a stupid question. Why do you need an inverter/charger AND an autotransformer? The inverter already seems to have two phase output, which is why I am asking.
The Pre-Charge would bypass the main charge and discharge contactors to charge the capacitors in the inverter. It needs a resistor to prevent a large inrush of current which is very hard on contactors, and can cause damage. I would guess that when you turn on the BMS there is a timed function...
After taking a long time to get bank A top balanced, I decided to speed things up and ordered an ISDT P30 charger. I have a couple of ISDT itms (a cell charger AA,AAA,18650) and a balancer (for LIPO packs) and they are definitely a cut above. My 208B has been and still is awesome, but the 350...
I just received one of these units with two 7 AWG cables. Technically two 7AWG cables would be rated together to handle around 100Amps. I am sure 200 Amps will work, but did you measure the temperature at 200Amps, and for how long they handled the 200 Amps? They are very short leads, which...
I amusing the Daly 300 Amp, 48V LiFePO4 BMS -

I haven't powered up the system yet, but the Growatt seems fairly well built. All connections inside were tight, and had silastic on the connectors to prevent...
I have a hybrid off grid inverter as my battery is acting as a critical circuit UPS. I ran the two phases of grid 120 from the main panel through a single 2 pole generator switch, then to the inverter input. The generator input will feed the inverter and power the critical circuit panel and...
I don't think there is any difference in wiring the charge controller to the + of a fuse box or the + bat terminal if all of the components are rated for the current, especially in such a small system.
Yes I would guess that the pack wasn't fully charged. If it starts to balance out over time, that is likely why it took on more initially. There could also be something wrong with your settings, shunt, etc also. You should verify everything is set right also.
In your diagram and in other references B- goes to the terminal of the first negative battery, along with the output cable. V- also goes there. You can crimp both into the same connector for the battery terminal.
Well, i have the inverter and sub panel installed, just need to install the outside AC emergency disconnect. Still waiting for the 20 cells I ordered, been almost 7 weeks, they say they are all backed up at the port, coming FedEx once they are liberated from the import warehouse. The BMS wants...
After a few days of parallel charging all 16 cells i configured 8 into an 8S pack
Added the balance leads and started to balance charge. My charger has a 350 watt limit. I may get a charger with more capacity. 24V hacked server power supply (65 A at 24V)
Newcomer to the forum, great stuff here!
I am planning out my build of a 16 cell, 48V LiFePO4 house battery. 280 Ah cells. My question is that for a battery disconnector I was planning on using a 1 pole DC 160 amp disconnector just for the positive wire. Is this OK, or would a 2P...
The diagram below is from a Chinese manual I found for the JK-B2A25S-RP which has English labelled pin outs that actually match what the cables are labeled with. This is what I was guessing from the diagram posted just prior, but nice to have confirmation.
I am going to install likely today to...
Also posted this in the other thread for this BMS
I have the same BMS to upgrade an older failed unit.
I found this diagram which is in English.
