Yeah, I think some good poly rope or nylon in the conduit as well. And probably 10AWG cables. I've been reading about conduit. Does not need to be proper conduit if I use the right wire -- some people use unperforated drainage tile (stuff you can get in 250' roles). Makes pulling wires...
The panels have a frame that is aluminum. Only one of the two rails needs to be grounded to ground the entire array, ONCE the panels are in place. As far as I could tell, your pictures seem to indicate that one of the two rails is grounded for each course.
AFAIK, it allowable to use the panel...
I only learned the concept recently, here as a matter of fact.
1) We all know that higher voltage has two benefits, smaller conductors and lower losses. BUT---
2) Since the inverters can digest a wide variety of voltages, within their design tolerances, you can accept a voltage drop in the DC...
I'm impressed! Those bins are old, short, mostly empty, though one still has drying capacity, which means like a 15 hp motor that to be fair would never be ran off solar or backup. The bins hardly ever impact insolation. Big grain storage is elsewhere. But it means that I have to have 200A...
Based on concerns raised here about people using a patch cord or outlet with delete ground, I am thinking of doing the following:
The current generator sits in a covered lean-to. The 200A transfer switch is outside, on the meter pole after the meter and a 200A breaker. I do not know if the...
But no built in solar. As far as I could tell. I mean, the beauty and the curse of the AIO/Hybrid units is that its all under one roof. So to speak. The curse of course is getting it right, especially software wise. The link has MPPT controller in it, but I cannot find a product in their...
Hello from Kansas City. I used to frequent Arizona Wind and Sun forum and gained (and contributed a bit) knowledge there through the years. Designed a system for my pole barn in 2008-09 but let an installer actually do the install, as here in KC there was serious money at stake from then KCP&L...
