I use a Victron Smart Shunt to monitor my battery SOC (State Of Charge) , through Solar Assistant. It's the most accurate option available. -

If you have Solar Assistant set to use the Smart Shunt for battery. I would expect it to use that for everything. That's how mine works.

I have had my credit card placed on a "security hold" or "frozen" until I verify the purchases. Never had it cancelled until I confirmed...
