I have just learnt that I needed a driver for my USB Serial connection. Now the PCMaster software is working after I input the battery capacity and voltage parameters. Even the bluetooth app is now showing the SOC increase as it charges.

I have just used the bmv700 SOC relay to turn a contactor on and off to control the PV power into the charger, works a treat. I can charge to 80% without it going to float or having to use a low charging voltage.

All I can set are the bulk, float voltages, bulk time and max charging current. I don't want to limit my charging current too much.

The BMS just disconnects the charging, the batteries can still supply power to the inverter

I shorted B- and P- multiple times before I used the multimeter without success.

The BMS can cut the power going into the batteries but still allow power out of the batteries. The BMS is like two switched diodes.
