No load at all, inverter is off

You bet I did, lol! I have the positive coming off one end of the 8 batteries and the negative off the other end to more evenly charge. Or so I read, lol

That red wire going to the shunt is a negative from my charge controller. Will be replaced with black soon

Hmmmmmmmm, it looks like my battery monitor thought the battery was full and it was not.

This is a “new” install, so my battery monitor has not seen even one battery cycle down to 50% until now. I have read that they “learn” and will get better at estimating. Is that expected?

I will update after my next test, but I’m hoping this is resolved

I am just starting out and my cables will all be rebuilt before being used in attended.

I think I may have found my issue. I think I may have set the battery monitor SOC ton100% manually when it was actually much lower.

Thanks for the reply. I have them all in two battery sets in series and then all series sets in parallel. I am not familiar with a balancer, I will do some googling.

No, the red wire basically goes to a terminal that is also connected to my batteries and inverter positive. I’m using my battery protect post for that function right now. Have 5 post terminal block to make that a permanent connection

The stress test went well overnight. Starting reading. Just came off the partial feed from the panels: The load cycles off for a few hours each night, so I ran about 10 hours overnight: I feel like the reset of the battery monitor cleared my issue. Much relief here! Lol
