  • Post in thread: My new 272 ah Lishen cells arrived

My 272 ah Lishen cells arrived, thanks to Michael Caro. I haven't been able to test them yet but I am very excited. They only took 7 weeks from the time I ordered them with Michael to arrive. I had originally planned on a 24 volt system, but have decided to go with 48 volt, so I will be ordering...
  • Post in thread: Off-Grid-Garage - better than NETFLIX -- :-)

I think he knows a lot more than people on this forum give him credit for. He's from Austria or Germany, can't remember which, but is working in Australia. Australia is very strict on immigration and do not allow just anyone to come work there. You have to have education and actual skills. I...
  • Post in thread: This seems way too good to be true ... 420ah from a "normal size" LifePO4 cell

I am sorry that anyone got cheated. That said, the old saying "Buyer beware" is appropriate here. There is no way that anyone could make and sell a 420 ah cell for the price that the buyers of those cells paid. A little common sense would tell you that if the cell weight was virtually identical...
  • Post in thread: Battery cable length - from Lynx distributor

Does it really take 93 and counting, replies to this post? I read through this and I’d say that 90% of the responses are either incorrect or superfluous. Some of the responses are just plain rude. If I asked a question and got these sort of responses it would make me want to quit this forum!
  • Post in thread: Victron Inverter cuts out at 9.3v low shut down??

The inverter is doing exactly what it is designed to do. The minimum input for most if not all Victron inverters is 9.5 volts. So if your battery is not providing at least (at the very MINIMUM) 9.5 volts, you cannot expect the Victron inverter to work. Get a better battery.
  • Post in thread: Help with EG4 6000XP for home power backup

Great. I think that answers all my questions. I just ordered a sub panel on Amazon. Should be here soon. I’ll only need to have like 3 circuits for my critical loads. So lots of room left over. Thanks for your help.
  • Post in thread: 280ah server rack battery price too good to be true?

Where was it purchased and does that include shipping?
  • Post in thread: 10K PV and Solark Install

I always go for functional rather than pretty. I've seen a lot of pretty installations that were not very functional.
  • Post in thread: Problems Testing Eve LF280 with Ebc a40l

Figured out why everything was screwed up. The EBC A40L is bad! I bought another to compare and everything is working fine now. Charging, discharging, the graphs, everything! Not sure what’s wrong with my original tester, but I guess I have an expensive paperweight!!!

I’ve got some aluminum stock, I might just make my own.
  • Post in thread: 32 310 ah Grade A Lifepo4 cells shipped free from China. TGTBT?

I did read the whole ad. And I did select the 32 cell option. Obviously a scam. I’m surprised that AliExpress condones this.
  • Post in thread: Purchasing batteries

I bought 8 Lishen 272 ah cells thru Michael and had a very good experience. Just placed an order for an additional 8. In my opinion you can't beat the price for these cells shipped. Yes it takes 6-8 weeks to get here, but anything coming by slow boat from China is going to.
  • Post in thread: Growatt 24V SPF 3000TL LVM off-grid

I just ordered a Growatt 48v SPF-3000TL LVM-ES yesterday. I'm in the same position, waiting for my other 8 Lishen cells to arrive to complete my 48v battery pack. Ian at watts247 suggested I could use a 48v power supply to test the unit. I just ordered a 48v power supply from Amazon and when my...
  • Post in thread: Gotion 340Ah Cells

I’ve heard a lot of people say that Eve recommends 8nm. I’m afraid people will read these comments and think that Eve recommends 8nm. Using 8nm will risk damaging the cells. Instead of saying reccomends, maybe it should be that Eve warns that 8nm is the maximum torque the cells can take? I read...
  • Post in thread: Lifepo4 cells won’t charge to 3.6 volts

    Will do. Thanks again

  • Post in thread: 32 310 ah Grade A Lifepo4 cells shipped free from China. TGTBT?

You’re seriously going to ask that question? I obviously did. If you don’t like it then mind your own business and move along.
  • Post in thread: Leaking Electrolyte from Bigbattery Powerblock

Love me some Monty Python. If you’re mad, just go watch some MP, you won’t be mad any longer!

  • Post in thread: 280ah server rack battery price too good to be true?

I received an instant message from an Alibaba supplier asking if I would be interested in a 51.2v 280ah server rack battery for only $950. Not sure what the shipping would cost but this seems crazy cheap?
  • Post in thread: Question about 8- LiFePO4 3.2v 100Ah cells from eBay

Rather than duplicating posts that are already on this forum multiple times, I would just ask that you search for top balancing, I think you’ll find many good write ups and resources on the subject.
  • Post in thread: K2 Energy K2B24V10EB not charging

I’m going to play around with different ways of charging them. And by throw them out, i don’t mean in the trash. I of course will recycle them.
  • Post in thread: 280ah server rack battery price too good to be true?

That’s a hell of a deal at that price.
  • Post in thread: Breaker to din rail

  • Post in thread: Murray 200 amp Generator interlock

The panel is over 20 years old but it works fine. And it’s 200 amp which more than covers my needs. So I don’t plan on replacing it.
  • Post in thread: Growatt SPF 3000 TL LVM ES without batteries

Once I get it unboxed and get a few solar panels hooked up I will try it without batteries and let you know.
