I have a 24 v LiIPO4 bank with an overkill BMS. My number 2 cell keeps getting over voltage protection. Right near end of charge but when it cuts out it kicks my Victron Multiplus II inverter off. How to you discharge a single cell. I tried finding 3 V bulbs on amazon. What do you guys use.
I have LiPo batteries set up at my Cottage. In the winter I can be away anywhere up to 8 weeks at a time. If I leave the solar connected and they will charge to 100% given enough solar. Ideal because I arrive to 100%, but storing batteries at 100% isn't good for them. I'd like to have my charger...
I have a 24 Volt 280ah LiPo set up with an Overkill BMS and Ali battery monitor. Over time the capcity of the two starts to drift, up to 20%. What would cause this and which should I trust. They eventually sink when they are charged to 100%.
I want to wire my gen to start from the pressure tank switch. I have 2 wire auto start. Start gen the gen starts 12 v timer switch wait 20 s for gen to get up to speed then open relays for house and we’ll power. Can’t figure out how to turn power off before gen turns off. I’m thinking 12 volt...
I got it work by forcing it into equalize mode. Generator isn’t on long and charge monitored. Inverter is 14 years old so this method will work until I have to upgrade.
After doing a bunch of research I discovered this inverter when it sees over 26 volts it decides the battery is charged. That’s 3.25 per cell, they don’t get below that until they are down to less than 10% soc now I need to see if magnum will update the software on them.
Yes I have the remote now set to 28.4 absorption and 27.0 float.
Batteries at 26.7 v or 75% doc. Start gen and goes straight to float no charge. I have it set to charge at 30 amps bulk.
Seeking advice on Inverter/charger settings. I use my gen a couple times a day to fill my pressure tank and I’d like to maximize that charging time. The lithium iron phosphate batteries have such a flat voltage curve that even at 70% the charger goes straight to float charge. I have a magnum...
I have a new 280 aH 24 volt system and was wondering the best method for shutdown. I know it is not good to have them sit at 100% so.... charge to around 70% and disconnect solar? BMS bluetooth will have small draw.
Yikes. I think I will connect up as bank with BMS the I can let them charge 24/7. Then strip and connect parallel at the end to finish the top balance. Thanks guys.
I have 8 280ah batteries for a 24 volt system. Have batteries connected in parallel to a 10 amp bench power supply to top balance. Have been charging for a week, only in evenings when I'm not working, I don't let them charge unsupervised. They are now at 3.32 V. How long should this take. I...
