First of all, a BMS is only to protect Your Cells, not to control the charging process of the Cell / Battery! Its like a electronic fuse !!!
The charge MOS will go off, if the Cell voltage ist higher than the filed "Cell Volt high protect". It will come back, if the voltage of the Cell drops...
Hi Ryang, i have the same problem with the voltage spikes (randomly wrong Cell Volt reading). I have Daly Smart BMS 16S 250 Amps HD-Version DL-BMS-R32-01E . The problem was a firmware bug. I reported that to DALY and i get a newer Firmware (Version 20210112-1. 01T). This fixes the problem...
In the Daly 4S BMS, the sleeptime 15300 should permanently prevent the BMS from falling asleep. In the 16S DALY BMS the sleeptime must be set to 65535 to permanently prevent it from sleeping.
The SOLIS RHI 4.6 5G has two fans inside the case to distribute the heat inside the case. Outside is natural cooling... The case has no fan opening
This is how the mainboard of the RHI 4.6 5G looks like. You can clearly see the two fans.
Attached You will find my DALY Smart BMS --> M5 Stack Converter --> SOLIS RHI 5G Software. It has been working for more than a year and a lot of people have built their DIY LiFepo4 battery with the DALY Smart BMS and SOLIS RHI with this M5Stack Converter.
You can download the latest PC software here. It is 1.2.8.e
Original Daly Download Link
The language you can set here:
I have no problem with my 16S / 250A DALY Smart BMS with firmware 20210222-1. I read every second all necessary data from the BMS via RS485 with my M5Stack and convert the...

The Sleep Time must be set to 65535 (never sleep again). The latest firmware is also necessary to work well with the DALY Smart BMS. My 16S / 250 A Daly Smart BMS works very stable and good with the firmware...
Reference voltage is 3.20 Volt (LiFepo4). SOC You can set to 100% if the Cell are about 3.45 Volt. All Cell must be first in balance. Attached You find my Screenshoots. I have 180Ah Battery 16S at the Moment. The language is german, but i hope it helps anyway..
There is no download page from DALY. You have to contact DALY support. But it takes a lot of work (email) until you get the new firmware from them....
This is the latest firmware I received directly from DALY support. I have only installed and tested it on my 16S 250A DALY Smart BMS (hardware...
This happens every time the cell voltage is above 3.40 volts per cell for some time and the current flow is small. Then the BMS automatically recalibrates to 100% SOC because the battery is full. Now, if the set battery capacity matches the (self-measured) battery capacity, then the SOC...
No. It's very simple... Plug and play. But you must be able to program the M5Stack (Arduino/ESP32). I wrote it for the SOLIS RHI 5G but it should work with any inverter that understands the Pylontech protocol. But I can not test this. I only have the SOLIS Hybrid inverter.
You need to at least...
@CETBOR
I would change the following:
Reduce the charging and discharging current to a reasonable value. The Daly 150A BMS can handle a maximum of 75A when charging and 150A when discharging.
If you have not measured the nominal capacity yourself, reduce it to 250Ah so that the SOC display...
1. You have to use the newest PC Software. You can download here: : https://diysolarforum.com/resources/daly-bms-monitor-to-monitor-8-boards.167/
2. Check Your Firmwaredate. You have first to connect the new version PC Software an then push on the TAB Read Param the Read All button.
3. The...
I suggest you to change the settings exactly as in the attached picture. These settings have worked perfectly for me for months. The following points are important:
1. automatic sleep time on: 65535 (otherwise the BMS switches off after 1h if no charge/discharge current flows).
2. the value in...
Check your firmware version. It must be at least version 20210222. All older ones have problems and sometimes show strange current and voltage values (short time). You can see the installed Version in the Read Param TAB on the PC Software or on the first Page in the BMS App.
Attached the...
It only exist for Windows. Version is 1.2.8 Look at here:

High Protect 3.40 Volt is to low. Set it to 3.65 Volt. It come back itself if the voltage drop. Do not overcharge the Batterey. You have to shot off the charger if the highest cell reach 3.45 Volt. Check Your Firmware Version on the BMS.
@Chrislau
Attached You will find the latest Version. Try also to remove the Battery on the M5stack on the bottom and use a good 5 Volt USB Power Supply. Perheaps it helps. Code is working well.
I don't know which hardware models the firmware is compatible with. But if it is compatible, I would update both. I am super happy with the release and have not experienced any problems so far.
Open the file main.cpp with a text editor. Everything is described directly in the file. The source code is well documented, but only in german...
But with this translator you can easily translate the text: https://www.deepl.com/translator
I have the same problem with 2 out of 4 packs in parallel with the same BMS. My cells are very well balanced. The SOC jumps from 95% to 10.7% within seconds, but the cell voltage is at 3.33 volts and the cell difference is only about 3mV.
Is there any solution to resolve the Problem?
Because the SEPLOS software is so bad, I have developed my own dashboard for my 4 batteries. I read all the data from the 4 BMS every second and write it to a SQLite database. This allows me to analyze what happens when the SOC of the BMS flips around. I do my own SOC calculation in the...
Can you take a screenshot of the READ parmeter in the PC software for both BMS and upload that image? You also need to set the BMS to 100% SOC when the voltage of each cell is about 3.45 volts. The BMS needs to know where the 100% SOC point is. And the Ah of the battery must also be set...
Yes I have the same software version. I get this error message once every 2 or 3 weeks. Also very early in the morning (05:00h etc.) That means there is no PV, no big load. But this error message 186AF ... I think it is a fake error and not a real error. The error I see only since the firmware...
Hello Sunraiser
I use an Arduino (in my case M5Stack) that reads the DALY Smart BMS data on RS485 every second and converts it to the CAN protocol for the SOLIS Hybrid Inverter 5G. Every 10 seconds I save the data to a Microsoft SQL Databaes (via LAN) running on Windows, based on this great...
@fopoku2k2
1. Good Calb cells 180Ah
2. Perfect TOP Balanced cells
3. Perfect contact on the busbars with the M8 screws...
Even at 76A charge current, I have less than 10mV difference as long as all cell voltages are below 3.40 volts. After that, the deviation is up to 25mVolt. I stop charging...
I have the same version. It is probably a bug in the firmware. For me, the error has only occurred since I have this firmware on it. I have user battery settings. There is a new firmware version out 3C002A .
But I don't have the new version on my SOLIS yet, because the responsible support...
Hmm... Each BMS needs its own controller because no ID can be assigned in the BMS. But you can connect only one controller to the SOLSI Hybrid. What kind of cells do you have in the box? Are they prismatic cells? Maybe you need to rework your project if you want to achieve a reasonable...
Sorry, no. The 4 Cell BMS is different from my 16 Cell BMS. Have you tried with input as 3,200 (Komma as separator, not point). I have to use the Komma as separator, but this can happen because i have german language on my mobile.
Hi Ryang. Attached are two pictures documenting the error. I read the BMS values from the RS485 interface and store the data in a Microsoft SQL database for analysis, dashboard, etc.
