Thank you sir. It definitely is still communicating with China. Not sure how to access anything to change it.
  • Post in thread: Solar Panels for coastal Area

I honestly think you would be fine with most manufacturers nowadays. They all come protected from most elements, including oxidation enhancers such as salt.
  • Post in thread: 6000XP's

honestly, if you have it on order, perhaps they can work with you. Especially if you are replacing defective units. It would go a long way if they could send you a refurbished unit. I do not live off-grid, so the need is not nearly as urgent for me. I'm offsetting some higher expenses. Our...
  • Post in thread: 6000xp Weekly Generator Run

I do not want to disconnect from AC. I want to utilize it just like a normal ATS. It will not bring the power into the unit because it will not need it. I'm just assuming (and hoping) the unit is smart enough to not pull from the generator while AC power is active. I could see all kinds of...
  • Post in thread: 18kpv Refrigerator causing light flickering

Are there any power conditioners or something that can assist with a commercial refrigerator compressor causing lights to flicker and flicker bad. Narrowed it down to the refrigerator and potentially the ice maker. Same circuit, in the garage. 18kpv is running the entire home. When on line...
  • Post in thread: Solar assistant questions

Ahh, I guess I should have elaborated better. I have more than one solar setup. I have a house that has EG4 batteries and my primary residence, I have custom built batteries, Seplos. Believe it is JK BMs.
  • Post in thread: EG4 6500ex 79.71

Makes sense since the two firmware files have been removed and just has one.
  • Post in thread: 6000xp Weekly Generator Run

I wish. I had a friend that owed a favor and I received a Onan Cummins RS12000. This thing runs like a top(ish) but is old. Just installed as another form of backup power. @EG4_Eric is that option coming to to the 6000xp? Secondly, is there any issue with it running with AC power still active?
  • Post in thread: Server Error

Maybe @Will Prowse won't yell at me for only providing one screenshot since you all are having the same issue :)
  • Post in thread: Apexium 280ah Enclosures

I did order one of these to test out. Any idea on quality?
  • Post in thread: Energy Optimizer for Roof with two directions

I looked in the manual and I do not see anything about lower power for an automated standby mode. The ones that go in standby, I’m assuming it just cuts off the inverter function but still allows SCC?
  • Post in thread: Solar Assistant and EG4 Batteries

They have been known to say random things about Solar Assistant. If you aren’t backfeeding power to the BMS, not sure how that is possible. Secondly, I would think if they just upsold their communications hub that would be sufficient for them. You wouldn’t directly communicate to the batteries.
  • Post in thread: Signature Solar; seriously?

Eh, it finally ended. I was prepared to be petty, dramatic and rude. But I'll hold it for now, second 6000XP is in que.
  • Post in thread: Series / Parallel - 6500EX Questions

Good evening community -- I have two strings of 8 panels in series, roughly 230v per string. I have each of those strings paralleled together to go into MPPT_1 on the 6500ex. - However, after adding the second string, I've noticed the amps really have not increased -- maybe slightly from just...
  • Post in thread: 18kpv Refrigerator causing light flickering

Typically don’t have a lot of lights on during the day, so can’t call that. Night for sure.
  • Post in thread: What are the advantages of high capacity lithium batteries?

I would go with “or something” for $1,000 Alex.
  • Post in thread: PV voltage on EG4 6500-EX-48

Not to bring up a dead topic, but it was after December when I started my initial install and SS also told me it was 250v per MPPT. I only found this thread (first time looking really) because I'm just now over 250v on my first circuit @ about 16-17amps. The nervous guy laugh must still be...
  • Post in thread: Series / Parallel - 6500EX Questions

Lets say the load is 1.2kw. And the batteries are at 30%. Will the panels bring in enough juice to start charging the batteries and provide for the 1.2kw load? I'm just curious if there is another setting that needs to tell the inverter to charge the batteries. I have it set to 30amp charge...
  • Post in thread: PV Distance 460'

There is. I had done the calculations but never actually performed a run that long. Just checking on anything the more seasoned people could elaborate on. 2% voltage drop, I'm good with that. We are going to be running a decent sized array at that site.
  • Post in thread: Apexium 280ah Enclosures

I just ordered some of the other ones that were posted just to test out
  • Post in thread: 6000xp Weekly Generator Run

This would be a huge win for those of us with units that don’t natively exercise with an onboard computer. There are, of course, other options that can integrate and control remotely, but controlling from the 6000’s is a far better option.
  • Post in thread: Series / Parallel - 6500EX Questions

@sunshine_eggo Your comment about not producing more than is needed is interesting here. I have my mode on Solar, Utility, Battery right now, but I do have 20KWH of battery. Should I change to 'SBU' and see if it will allow it to produce more? My batteries are sitting at near 100% (I notice...
  • Post in thread: 6000XP's

I have two 6000xp's on the way. I will be eliminating a defective 6500ex and replacing one more. From the literature, I do not see where it is clear on how to parallel the legs together from the two inverters. Meaning, each leg is 3,000w per inverter. So L1 from both inverters in parallel...
  • Post in thread: Questions for owners of the 18k pv

had 6500’s and now have 6000’s and an 18k. 18k has some flicker on heavy load startup. Anyone found or done anything to fix this?
  • Post in thread: Victron SmartShunt for load?

Good evening. I have a mobile setup that has Victron equipment, MPPT controller, Cerbo GX and a SmartShunt on the batteries. I, however, do not have a Victron inverter, but instead have a Ampvint inverter. I want my VRM to show me loads though. Is it possible to install another SmartShunt...
